Palin watched debate on ‘one of eight televisions tuned to Fox News.’

Although Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) claims to read every single news source, she apparently watches only one cable news network — Fox News. ABC reports that Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) was at a pizzeria in Greenville, NC during yesterday’s debate and watched the event on “one of eight televisions tuned to Fox News, while eating pizza and spaghetti.” This practice is reminiscent of Vice President Cheney, who requires that all tvs be pre-set to Fox News when he travels. Reporters have also complained that the Bush administration refused to let them watch anything but Fox News on Air Force One. Two separate interviews with Palin will be airing on Fox News tonight.

What type of behavior can anyone expect from those whose base is all the low-info voters ?

  2. Abu Ben Hussein Leporello Says:

Nice. A make-believe candidate watching a make-believe news station, remarkably appropriate. Come on November 5th so the poor lady can go Back to Alaska!
Impeach Pelosi, Cheney and Bush and Save the Constitution!

  3. The Dogfather Says:

The fascinating thing about this is that in Greenville, NC, home of East Carolina University, I can guarantee you that any self-respecting pizzeria/spaghetti emporium that has 8 TVs in it would have had at least one or two of them tuned to ESPN, no matter what else was going on in the world.

It's pretty clear that the only reason all eight were tuned to Faux Noise is because Bambi McAirhead's campaign staffers insisted on it; wouldn't want any real news getting through the bubble, you betcha...

  4. WaltB Says:

Why would anyone expect anything else? She want's to further Cheney's fiefdom/pseudo-dictatorship until McSame kicks off, and then become a real dictator!

  5. Abu Ben Hussein Leporello Says:

#3, Dogfather, I just sprayed tea on my monitor courtesy of your comment. Bambi McAirhead, Superb!

  6. raynman Says:

It's nice to know that our candidates are so well-rounded in their knowledge, getting their information from every source they can instead of relying on the same ol same ol time after time....

    and then I wake up

I hope the Pentacostal Pork-barrel Princess of Wasilla is enjoying the pizza, spaghetti and moose.

Pretty soon, all that will be on the menu for her and McNumbNuts will be crow.

  9. Shayne Says:

Why is it that these politicians who only watch Fox News always make me think of "The Emperor's New Clothes"?

  10. galmud Says:

    From the article:

"For the first time in a month on the campaign trail, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin took questions from her traveling press corps..."

"...Palin came to the back of her press charter plane for the first time, greeting reporters and then taking questions for 15 minutes from the group. Cameras were not allowed to film the impromptu question and answer session."

Palin is a joke and a coward

  11. Great Frybread King Says:

Of course she gets all her talking points from Faux News. Do you expect her to think for herself?

I'm fairly confident that had Caribou Barbie not been there, EVERY television would have been set to some sporting event.

Last night, I was dining at Red Robin with friends from 9:00 to about 9:45, and all the televisions there were showing various sports. No debate to be seen anywhere. (I was able to listen to some of it on NPR while driving home, however.)

Come to think of it, restaurants and sports bars probably SHOULD show the debates, since they are essentially spectator sports, anyway. If they were real news events, I'm sure there would be some focus on the actual content. Instead, all the focus is on "winning", "losing", and "points scored". All that's needed is time-outs, visible coaches on the sidelines, and a play-by-play announcer in a broadcast booth.

  14. paleolib Says:

I betcha she went out looking for a moose to shoot when even the Frank Luntz focus group on Fox decided Obama won the debate.

    Yah, you betcha (wink).

  16. misshusseinmolly Says:

I'm surprised that Palin's NC team took her to a pizza place, when she could have had some genuine eastern Carolina barbecue. I'm sure that Greenville has as many decent meat-and-three barbecue places as anywhere else in our state. Didn't they want her to have the good stuff?

  17. mary Says:

So then she must think that McCain won the debate last night. Because when I flipped over to fox after the debate they had McCain winning the debate with something like 86%.

Since she's only going for photo-ops these days I think all the news agencies should literally ignore her.

  18. Taguba Says:

Is the anti-semite Sean hannity one of those hard hitting interviews?? Cant wait to hear the questions.

Mrs. Palin, Why does Obama hate America??

Mrs. Palin, Why do you think Obama and William Ayers are BFF ?

Mrs. Palin, How much does a rape kit cost the sluts in Alaska? Not more than the two beers and the mini skirt that caused the rape, i hope??

Well, that last one we probably wont hear, but they are thinking it,You Betch ya.

  19. Shayne Says:

Come on satirev I'm really looking forward to the Republican primaries for 2012 when Sarracuda gets her comeuppance from the other rethugs.

  20. Max-1 Says:

    .

I hope she was taking notes...

  21. Taguba Says:

Mary , Drudge has McCain kickin azz. why does the MSM miss these legit polls of bi-partisan people giving their honest opinions...DUH !!!! Sean will no doubt refer to bothof those polls in determinuing that Grampy McSame won the debate.

Why should we expect St. Sarah of the Moosecall to watch anything but Faux News?

Do candidates even eat the local food? I thought they travelled with their own Secret Service chefs who actually to the cooking whenever the candidate eats at a restaurant. Or maybe that's just for the sitting President and VP.

  24. dfletcher Says:

I got a hold of a copy of the speech John wrote for Sarah!

"My friends. What all those Democrats out there who love Obama just don't understand is that Obama is a space alien!

Just look at the facts! Last night during John's debate, Obama had the gall to call our war hero a liar! One time, he was standing at the right edge of the camera and he moved to the left. He moved to the left! How much more proof do you need that Obama is a space alien?!

My friends I don't know about you but I don't think a space alien is prepared to be president! Space aliens hate Americans! Well known fact.

Vote for John and I. We're sorta human!"

They might make some minor tweaks but that's the gist of Sarah's performance tonight ;-)

  25. IgnoranceIsNotBliss Says:

    True satirev, true.

  26. Leftside Annie Says:

    Palin watches FUX...???

    *What* a surprise.

    Not.

  27. dim wit Says:

    missmolly,

I dropped you a note in today's ThinkFast. Wanted your opinion on something McCain said last night.

  28. spearNmagicHelmet Says:

the blind, naked ambition of this woman is chilling. to think that she's this close is an indictment on the american education system.

  29. hanshiro Says:

    *sigh*

Doubtless all Halloween long I'm gonna be answering the doorbell and at least one kid, bedecked in lipstick and glasses'll go, "Trick or treat, you betcha!"

    The horror...

To Braindead Barbie all the lower 48 states are the same. What would somebody who has spent her whole life in Alaska possible know about middle America?

If she watches only Pox News on Nov. 4, she will probably think she won the election.

How could she take notes? She watches TV with the volume turned down.

I cannot believe anyone with a single brain cell is seriously considering McBush/Failin

They aren't. Yet, Blinky and Winky are still polling around 40%. How scary is that!?!?

  34. JT Says:

    Big deal!

Every network carried the same feed.

A more substantive comment is how much of a piss-poor job Brokaw did.

  35. Art Says:

I wondered what Sarah was doing during the debate.
    I wasn't far off.

  36. Buckie Boy Says:

She only watches faux because she needs to be on top of what Bush, Cheney and Rove are telling Faux what to put out as propaganda to the uneducated portion of the public.

  37. tarazan Says:

Sarah was simply watching RTN (Republicans Television Network),while eating her pizza..It was her best tasty appetizer.
When Sarah was asked why she went to eat at Pizza shop, she replied: "So I know how to deliver".

  38. RUCerious Says:

November 5th Ms ImPalin will be back in Wasilla, (snicker) governing the rurality of Alaska. Until, of course she's convicted of illegal use of power, evading taxes and the myriad other karmactic wheels that are going to roll over her.

  39. FunMe Says:

Hope they told Dumb Sarah about "that one" winning the election in November 2008.

And she can watch FOX news all day once her crystal meth city of Wasilla kicks her out of her own city once she is indicted.

  40. squidbilly Says:

Maybe she simply couldn't tell that all of the TV's were on Fix News.

She is a dim bulb after all.
Ya know, as smart as a barracuda also.

  41. Doc Rock Says:

That's the good ol' 'merican spirit--watchin' news on a network controlled by a Right-wing Aussie billionaire 109th in the world richest list!

  42. whosbarmynow Says:

These a-holes are restricting their informational diets to one source. Seems like a sure path to extinction to me.
