how in the lord can anyone not admit this lady is dumber than a box of ice? if any of these rightards were taken h)stage would they like to have Sarah Palin as the negotiatior trying to get thier release? how about directing the SWAT team? this lady would put the “special” back in special forces…

its amazing that there is 20-30 percent of this country who would pull the level for anyone who agrees with them, even if they were borderline retarded…this lady can’t be trusted to competently run a Waffle House let alone the White House..

I might just add one little thing to your very astute observation… and that is that I also believe that she believes what she says but there is a disconnect in being able to be self aware enough to understand her behavior vs. the other side’s behavior.

And if she does, and is ignoring it in order to win the race, justifying the means by end result which she no doubt sees as “god’s will”.

Unfortunately for her, Jesus never really said that it’s ok to lie, cheat and steal as long as you do it in my name.

Perhaps all she is trying to do is to validate a claim that “being an open book” negates the fact that she’s too ignorant to have ever opened a book herself?

Perhaps she is so unfamiliar with books, other than trying to get them banned, that she doesn’t know an open book from a closed one?

my experience with right-wingers is they have an incredible ability to convince themselves that their narrow focus is the only possible view. They easily exclude other perspectives and contradictory facts, and since being “an open book” is a good thing to be, and they know they’re good people, then they must be “an open book”.

This has been my experience as well. In fact, my son told me about a study done among conservatrons that established that the more information they were given to prove their assumption was wrong (IIRC, it had to do with Iraq and WMDs, or Iraq and 9/11) the more stubbornly they clung to the original assumption. Their level of confidence in the wrong information, in other words, actually rose the more the assumption was disproven.

Palin is one of the most blatantly arrogant people I’ve seen. Perhaps merely allowing others to view her as she passes qualifies as being pestered with questions.

That’s the question I keep coming back to: does she really believe she’s “an open book” or is she comfortable just lying through her teeth? In other words, idiot or sociopath?
