You’ve heard the old PR wheeze: There is no such thing as “bad” publicity?

Even if the fuukin HUMILIATE the bint, strip her down to bra and thong, she STILL gets a million dollars worth of free air, and a chance to be a martyr.

That saying doesn’t really apply in politics. It applies to those who wish to gain exposure and fame, but don’t mind notoriety. Bad publicity can certainly hurt a politician running for office.

It would be awfully surprising if SNL doesn’t find at least one way to make her look foolish. Sure, she’ll get points for being a “good sport”, but it’s the foolish part that will stick in their minds as they fill out the ballot.

OMG, that’s awesome. It’s such a shame that the MSM is in the bag for the Republicans. I’m quite sure that picture didn’t end up in many newspapers or on many news websites. But they always over estimate the crowds at Palin events. I wonder what the polling would be like if the MSM wasn’t in the bag for the Republicans?

Oh, I read somewhere yesterday that many of the big wigs in the Republican party are recommending they use their money (separate from McCain’s public financing) not to try to pull this out of the gutter for McCain but to try to save some of the Senatorial and House seats they are now set to lose. I think it’s way too late for that, but, hey, let them do it.

Ahhh…proud to be from Philly today!!! Anyone else notice that Scoot Gomez, the NHL’s first (only?) player from Alaska, took the face off for the Rangers…

As for Gary Herstein…the people at this game are supposed to be her people…you know, Hockey Moms/Dads and Joe Six Pack, “regular” Americans…yet she was resoundingly booed. To me, this speaks volumes.

I looked at the evidence
that the “flippin” one was more crisp. When pictures are
“modified” they become more “fuzzy”. Did you look at them
closely?

I downloaded 4 versions of that picture onto my harddrive. The clearest of the so-called “fakes” downloaded at 402kb. The “original” on the Alaska State Website, file name, “2dscs1254_large” downloaded at 69kb. There’s no possible way to change a low-resolution original into a high-resolution copy.

Fox News edited the tape, cutting out the parts where the boos were loudest, and adjusting the sound to mitigate the boos in the rest of it. This just two days after they broadcast a segment where Palin’s campaign was complaining about an unretouched photo of her on the cover of Newsweek.

Okay. She established her “hockey” credentials. But I don’t know how she scored as a “mom”, bringing her daughter as a prop to hockey game.
Yeah maybe it’s was completely without political calculation that Palin brought her out on to the rink. But it was pretty well telegraphed in advance that she was going to get booed.
Politicians are routinely booed at sporting events. She and the campaign knew it was coming. So did they send her daughter out despite the impending boos or because of them?
