Let’s see. Trillions of dollars lost in the stock market hitting people’s stock portfolios, 401ks and retirement funds. Billions of dollars in losses in the value of homes across the country. So where are the capital gains here? McCain’s plan to reduce capital gains only works if you have a capital gain. Impossible today for most Americans. But this works really well for the really rich people (top 5%).

McCain is so out of touch, it’s unbelievable! That’s why he proposed this capital gains tax reduction. Most Americans won’t benefit from it but people like himself will. Sounds more like Me First!, not Country First!

The money could also come from Wachovia who just loaned the RNCC $8 million, some of which is probably going to the RNC which is dumping money into GOP Senate races and which will work it’s way into McCain’s election coffers because the FEC is useless and McCain already broke campaign finance laws once.

Former basketball star and former republican, Charles Barkley said he wouldn’t mind paying more in taxes as should other rich people because they are “still going to be rich.”
My opinion is that if you are rich and put country first as McCain has labeled his campaign, then you need to shut up, pay up and help get this country and it’s people back on a more productive path. Giving away our money to selfish people that need it the least has the opposite affect of being destructive i.e., lower wages, lost jobs, lost pensions, lost homes, lower home values, lower productivity, decaying infrastructure, higher food costs, higher fuel costs, higher education costs, etc. All just so a tiny percentage of Americans can have it all and thumb their noses up at the rest of us. To Hell with them and to Hell with McCain!

Well, the parts of his plan that will help the middle class are a direct rip off of Obama’s plan he released yesterday. The rest is just more give-aways to the very rich.

I love that they say that lowering the tax burden on the very rich will bring more money into the treasury. I’m not exactly sure how that will work. Can someone talk me down on that one?
