The person making 250k+ annually is gaining that salary due to the political, economic and regulatory enviornment which fosters the ability to increase their revenue. Paying a fair share towards the sustaining of that enviornment should be a patriotic thing to do.

For some reason, it’s the neo-cons who want to destroy our government by reducing taxes to 0 and somehow, magically, mysteriously, we’re supposed to remian a viable self governing country. Talk about la-la-land fantasies!

Not really, but thanks for the concern. When people write in clear, cogent concepts in properly constructed sentences, I have no problem with reading comprehension.

I was asking for you, since you seem to have some trouble responding appropriately to comments, and in the past you’ve demonstrated a marked difficulty with both reading comprehension and expressing your thoughts clearly.

Actually, someone with a good sense of the written word would have been able to conclude from my inclusion of the phrase “near you” that I was not speaking of myself but rather for your own needs. Someone then points out to you that 66% of US companies pay no tax at all, which seems like it would fatally wound the argument you tried to make.

How did you respond? By basically excusing the avoidance of tax payments.

Actually, many are paying less than zero….making a profit from taxpayers. If they are paying no taxes and receiving subsidies such as the big oil companies, etc.
