Palin: ‘We Shouldn’t Worry About Government Having Enough Money’
During an interview with a local television affiliate in New Hampshire yesterday, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) was asked how John McCain will make up revenues the federal government will lose because of his enormous tax cut plan.
Palin was shocked at the premise of the question. “Really!?” she immediately replied, adding that the “suggestion there is that revenue should be coming into government at this time and that’s not what should happen at a time like this.” But later Palin dismissed any concerns about the federal government’s lack of cash flow:
PALIN: We shouldn’t worry about government having enough money, the government has plenty of money its a matter of how government prioritizes the expenditure of those public dollars.
However, today during a rally in Maine, Palin suddenly became worried about the government’s books:
PALIN: John has the backbone, he’s got the backbone and the guts to confront the $10 trillion debt that the government has run up. We will balance the federal budget by the end of our term.

The simple fact is that there is no way McCain will be able to balance the budget by 2013, as he and his campaign have erroneously claimed on a number of occasions.
But Palin’s claim that “we shouldn’t worry about the government having enough money” echoes an assertion that Vice President Dick Cheney reportedly made in 2002, arguing that “deficits don’t matter.” Since then, President Bush has presided over the largest increase in the debt of any president in history and is looking at a record deficit of $482 billion for FY2009.

Look at charge cards and how their used. You get a 5,000 dollar limit and go over it, if no one's looking it can reach 50,000 dollars. In Sarah Boop's way of thinking just keep running that baby up until you get caught. Then walk away and leave it to the American people to pay as Sarah returns to Alaska and says to Americans " See ya".

And I still haven't heard an adequate explanation of how she and McCain are going to balance the budget in four years if they plan to cut everybody's taxes and invade more countries. Just eliminating earmarks ain't gonna do it.
It took Clinton EIGHT years to turn the deficit into a surplus, and he raised taxes on the rich AND cut spending. Plus he was helped by the dot-com boom boosting the economy. McCain's math only works in fairy tales.

KTVB reporter Ysabel Bilbao was interviewing Walt Minnick's campaign director John Foster Wednesday afternoon. During the interview, someone loudly yelled and was laughing during the interview at the Grove plaza.
Bilbao and Foster initially ignored the intrusion, but quickly noticed the source of the heckling -- (Republican Rep. Bill) Sali and members of his staff.
This is how Republicans were going to restore "dignity" to the federal government:
Foster said he saw Sali making faces at him and holding up “bunny ears.”
But at least he was wearing a flag lapel pin (I presume).

Jobs aren't created by businesses "keeping more money." Jobs are created when consumers increase their demand for products created and services provided by American companies. During the booosh administration businesses have "kept more of their money," and they merely increased the size of their corporate coffers.
Their ideas on the illicit drug problems have the same half-baked smell. The only way to decrease supply is to decrease demand. Period.
