Okay, I had heard about this and didn’t realize that part of her rant included the fact that McCain’s message is resonating on the Iron Range of Minnesota. Hello? What planet is she on. I had heard they were making a serious play for this area (I live here, I grew up here) with the whole NRA/Guns message but they (the Repubs) do this every 4 years and it never pans out. We have strong Democratic roots and I don’t think it is working this year either. In fact, I feel like many people, especially younger people, are a little more fired up this year than in the past. I know people who are volunteering and putting signs (yes, I know signs don’t vote) in their yard who never would have in the past. Not buying it Nancy Pf-whatever. I’m sick of them saying they are making a play for the Iron Range of Minnesota. Not gonna happen.

As a Northern Virginian, I resemble Pfarteneater’s remarks…

What will come as a surprise to her and the rest of the McPalin ilk is that the only place in Virginia that will drink their koolaid this year will be far southwestern VA, which is really Tennessee…

Oh, and Prince William County, my neighbors in NoVA, who have been systematically driving out non-whites with their bigoted anti-immigrant (illegal, legal, don’t matter) policies…

But we in “real VA” will be sure to turn VA blue this year once and for all…

I’m sure Nancy gets her chili-cheese dogs and Bud Lites at Vienna Inn alongside the State Deptartment wonks and Joe Plumbers, just like everyone else in NoVa. Do she really want to be talking about the “real Virginia”, seeing that the Capital of the Confederacy was Richmond and the retreating soldiers loved it so much they torched a quarter of it rather than let it fall into Northern hands. The tail has been wagging the dog for far too long in Virginia.

I get it! I get it! Only pro-American Americans know how who to keep it “Real” with this McCain-Palin Southern strategy 2.0 of racist doublespeak. Gee that’s just great.

Seems like someone would do well to start a dictionary for the remainder of this election cycle defining their wonderful efforts to imbue words with negative connotations for eternity. It’ll be a long time until Maverick gets used without some faint recollection of Team “Hate First”.

I just saw the picture of the crowd at Obama’s rally in St. Louis. All I can say is Holy Cow!!. That is just amazing. It is also very telling (I hope) in terms of what will happen on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Good answer to your own question. Obama folks like you might (would), but not mainstream Dems. It’s that similarity you have with Pfotenhauer: partisanship. Mainstream Dems are more accepting of different points of view and less inclined to slam such people. ;)

These people know absolutely nothing. Not only does she insult the state of Virginia, she lies about other states as well. I live on the Iron Range of Minnesota and I see an occasional McCain sign, but we ‘Rangers’ like Democratic positions. I love how she pulled that out of her ass. I will give her some credit, at least she got the name right. George Bush famously called the ‘Iron Range’ the ‘Iron Ridge’ in 2004.
