This atrticle contained passages the I felt slammed the original inhabitants of Australia.
The following quote was from some racist doctor.
Rolf Harris says, (BUT MBSPRINGER DOES NOT!)
Aboriginal children were never disciplined or expected to adhere to rules until adulthood, he said.
??(Until) then they have a totally carefree life to do what they want and that quite often involves smashing everything that they have.??
I was very upset at reading HIS words so I responded very critically.
The lovely news outlet A NASTY RAG CALLED THE WENTWORTH COURIER
Decided to only print the excerpt as my comment,
so that now it appears that I made that racist comment.
I hope that this helps someone be aware of the racist tricks employed by this paper

Lets start here. Anyone that watches FOX News is far right and anti-American. Anyone that believes in open-ended war, based on lies, for profit is far right and anti-American. Anyone that accuses another of being anti-American because they don’t agree with their twisted mindset and warped values just so they can feel more righteous is far right and anti-American. These far right, anti-American people have on numerous occasions shown their disdain for the constitution and the bill of rights and civil liberties. How does that make them pro-American?

Well, duh! We’ve been saying that his words are dishonest for years – at least he’s finally acknowledging it.

McCain asked for $5,000.

Individual donations to candidates’ election campaigns are capped by law at $2,300, and it is illegal to accept donations from foreign nationals.

According to Russian news outlet RIA-Novosoti:

Russia’s permanent mission to the UN has received a letter from U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain asking for financial support of his election campaign, the mission said in a statement on Monday.

“We have received a letter from Senator John McCain with a request for a financial donation to his presidential election campaign. In this respect we have to reiterate that neither Russia’s permanent mission to the UN nor the Russian government or its officials finance political activities in foreign countries,” the statement said.

According to Ruslan Bakhtin, press secretary of the Russian mission, the letter dated September 29 and signed by McCain, was addressed to Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s envoy to the UN, and arrived on October 16.

The ambassador’s title was not included in the letter, and was not clear why the letter had taken over two weeks to arrive.

Enclosed was a request for a donation of up to $5,000 to McCain’s election campaign to be returned with a check or permission to withdraw the money from the donor’s credit card until October 24.

McCain is saying he was “tested” during the 1963 Cuban Missile Crisis, because he was on an aircraft carrier in the area.

I realize this is somewhat off-topic, but I read the P-I article in your link and was amazed.

McCain says, “I sat in the cockpit, on the flight deck of the USS Enterprise, off of Cuba. I had a target.”

In other words, he wasn’t a decision-maker during this “test”. He was operating under specific orders that came from others who were making the decisions. This hardly counts as decision-making experience.

Does he understand that sitting in the Oval Office during a crisis isn’t like sitting in a cockpit awaiting orders? I suspect McCain isn’t that stupid, and he certainly does know the difference. However, he believes his audience really IS stupid, will somehow make some sort of “heroism” connection, and conflate a Navy pilot following orders with a president giving them.
