McCain’s observed modus operandi is to puff up and deny. He growls and attempts to intimidate questioners into the feltal position. Ask him one thing he’ll poo poo the question or use his favorite trick of changing the subject and moving right on. Now ya see him now ya don’t. The guy is slippery. His nasty campaign has had nothing to do with the issues. He has recently started sounding more like he was interested in what was going on but he knows he’s going to be defeated. So he’s loosened up. But the wordsmanship, the crafting of words is a highly developed art on his part. He says one thing but means another. He thinks we’re stupid and that we won’t get it. He wants to sound like he knows what he’s doing but it’s shadow boxing and it’s nonsense. By the way, why is he “hall monitoring” Palin? She can’t speak on her own? Pretty pathetic…maybe she’s working on memorizing some newspaper and book names and when she gets ‘em right, McShame will let her do a real interview on her own. Thank you Katie Couric! Nice outfit Sarah…shop at Wal-Mart much?!!

There’s something wrong with McCain, and I can’t put my finger on it either. It’s almost like he’s become a borg, from the Star Trek franchise. Every once and awhile, his programming goes screwy, like at today’s rally when he said Obama’s spokespeople were calling West PA folks “rednecks,” and then said “I couldn’t agree more with them.” Or when he said “My fellow prisoners” in another rally. It’s just plain wierd. And then this claim, about never having flip-flopped on any issues from 8 years ago, when it’s clearly and easily shown that he certainly has.

As I told someone else on my blog, don’t make absolute statements(none of those thing are true, all the time I supported, nobody believes, etc) because they are so easy to prove false. McCain knows well he has changed his positions, and I think politicians do that sometimes, and that’s OK. But don’t act like you’ve never done it.

Thanks Lurker…that’s a lovely prose. We smile. But honestly, how far does a smile go? We can smile and say, “sorry, but your need doesn’t meet the mission of our program” or “sorry, we haven’t had enough diapers of your child’s size donated to our program”.

BTW, just so you all know, most peole LOVE to donate infant items but we sorely lack in toddler stuff (diapers size 4-6 & any size pull-ups) and clothing over size 24 months. MOST people truly need YOUR help in larger sizes. So please, if you’re thinking of donating items, think about the bigger kids. And just an afterthought, ALL non-profits are tax exempt so a gift of money, designated however you want, goes far further since we can purchase necessities far chearper than you can. I know TPer’s have incredibly big hearts so please, check with the non-profit you’re looking to contibute to to see what they need.
