Dr. Hussein Matt,

One last thing tonight. Pay discrimination based upon protected status such as race and gender is illegal. Therefor, to make a claim that somehow Women were being paid less than Men for doing the same work on a broad scale would have to mean that a vast majority of companies in this country were intentionally breaking the law!

Not a scenario that can be sensibly argued.

I'll be back there, just had to work out on the elliptical for a while.

Allow me to marshall my information and get back into this tomorrow. I enjoy a good exchange of ideas and viewpoints.

Hi Tim Vaculik.
Why'd you give up down at the climate thread. Might it be because you are unqualified to comment yet again? I am so interested in your ideas. Might you share some evidences of your new premise? Thanks. I'll wait right here...

mike,

You are someone that knows what he's talking about. I am a senior HR Compensation professional and you have it eexactly right when it comes to the Women's pay issue.

Liberals are fond of quoting a completely meaningless statistic concerning what Women make on average compared to men. When you control for all the relevant factors such as time in position, etc., Women make the same and in quite a number of professions MORE than men.

Whoops a daisy! That's mighty close to a Liberal Feminist statement there, missy! And As we know, McCain picked ya because you're one of them conservative types that don't think women should be paid equally, doncha know? *wink*

spencers mom Says:

Brian Williams interviewed Sarah today, and Pappy McCain apparently wouldn’t let her do a solo again. Matthews had Williams and Chuck Todd on Hardball, and the candid discussion that followed is incredible:

According to Williams, there's more yet to come (over the next two days) including 8 minutes that he interviewed Palin on her own. I predict much more interesting comments from her ahead.

Now about the one on Gov Palin spending money to flyaround and take the kids on Vacation, lavish spending of peoples money. Hello...Laptop computers mobile internet, executive staff handling business. Oh yeah cell phones to keep up with what is happening in Alaska. She is talented and smart able to do more than one thing at a time, Campaign is paying for her travels okay?

Tshe is drawing Governors salary while campaining? Oh and Obama and Biden are doing that too. They are kept up on issues in the Senate while away from their jobs, and getting paid Senate salaries.

Lavish spending for Gov. Palin? Anyone hear the total tab for Barack Obama's big night at the Waldorf Astoria? New Fancy suit for the evenig event, first class room for the Senator, his wife, and staff. How much did the room service bill cost? When asked by the media about it Barack Hussein asks how the hell did the media find out about that.

The subject is about fair pay not equal pay.

Equal Pay for equal work is an old liberal rant from the 60's and to the 70's okay? Lets talk about skill experience and time in. What we have is a convoluted misleading argument.

In many middle class blue collar(Democrat targeted voters) working environments the fair pay argument is about seniority and time on the job. A person new on the job would be paid less for a time and given chance to prove themselves regardless of man or woman.

Where are the jobs that men and women do the same and get paid less?

There is another factor of contract labor and in house. In house get paid more in most cases. And what about temp to perm positions. Job market is full of people who take on temp employment for ad hoc jobs at XYZ company. They are checked out and if they show themselves worthy the company keeps them on for permenant employment. Then the pay goes up. Others come in do their part of a program and are paid and sent on. Competetive labor practice has been the way for about 15 years or more. That would be around Clinton time. This happens regardless of gender.

In skilled trades work the pay is on a step plan. Initiates or rookies are paid a training wage and then when they prove themselves the pay increases as the skills increase and time on the job.

McCain supports fair pay practice. Ladies there is nothing to fear in job pay differences with Senator McCain. Barack Obama wants to put a tax system in place that will send jobs and money out of the US.

I agree with Sarah Palin! This is one of the reasons why I'm voting for Barack Obama. I want somebody who will work to actually end the inequality in pay rather than merely paying it lip service and then deriding it as a campaign strategy.

If only Sarah Palin was running on Obama's ticket ... dream ticket! I feel dirty. :)
