McCain campaign politicizes terrorism in new ad.
This morning, the McCain campaign released a new ad blasting Joe Biden for suggesting that our enemies will “test the mettle” of the new President. With ominous music, dark overtones, and images of potential conflict, the ad overtly states another potential attack “doesn’t have to happen” if McCain is elected. But McCain’s own allies – Joe Lieberman and the Bush White House – have asserted that it is likely to happen:
Lieberman: “Our enemies will test the new president early.”
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino: “I think Senator Lieberman, unfortunately, could be right.”

Funny… how LONG are we supposed to need this republican protection? Apparently the “protection” offered by the republicans is exactly like treating the symptoms and not the disease, thus allowing the disease to continue and fester.

October 24th, 2008 at 11:17 amNo one EVER points this out, despite all his blathering, that Senator John McCain has NEVER BEEN TESTED AS A COMMANDER EITHER!!!!!!! This bears repeating, the man was a terrible student, a terrible pilot, a terrible person (according to vets who served with him), a propaganda machine for N. Vietnam while in captivity. He has never lead men into battle, much less planned military strategies either, despite his claiming that he knows how to win wars (playing Stratego with Cindy does not count)! BOTH candidates have equal experience in responding to an attack, none. Barrack Obama has shown that he has the calm, determined intelligence to handle such a situation. John McCain’s temperment should give any voter cotemplating voting for him pause for concern.
October 24th, 2008 at 11:18 amAm I alone in thinking that what Biden said was right on target? He said nothing about terrorism specifically – he just said that some kind of international crisis as likely to occur in the first six months of an Obama administration. That doesn’t necessarily have to be a terrorist attack – it could be a sectarian flareup in Lebanon, a blockade by Russia, a genocide in the DRC, economic collapse in China, or a tsunami in South Asia.
It’s McCain who’s injecting terrorism into it, and suggesting that his magic powers will somehow deflect an attack.

“Bush made us safer” — that’s what they’ve been telling us for 7 years now. Safer that what? Than before 9/11? Because before 9/11 even the republican base was not living in at the level of fear that they live in now. So… we’re safer because of the republicans, but we’re not safer and we should be afraid and we need the republicans to save us because they made us safer, but we’re not safer. And Biden is crazy for suggesting that the terrorists might attack to test the new president, but if you don’t elect McCain there will be an attack.

But, hey, it’s not a terrist attck unless Bush says it is. So, see, those things were just normal criminal stuff that happens all the time, but not terrist activity. You’re safer becasue of Bush, but you’re also in danger and only the republicans can save you. See? It’s simple.

Is there any limit to how low McCain will go? By the time he returns to the Senate he will be the most hated person in the Senate. Right now the only two Senators who will give him the time of day are Graham and Lieberman.
I predict that McCain will retire from the Senate, for health reasons, shortly after he loses the race.
