Palin inadvertently criticizes herself for supporting Bridge to Nowhere.

In her first policy address, which covered special needs children, Gov. Sarah Palin claimed today that Congress spends “some $18 billions on earmarks for their political pet projects.” Palin then slammed the “Bridge to Nowhere” earmark, which, ironically, she strongly supported:

Congress spends some $18 billions on earmarks for their political pet projects. And that right there is more than the shortfall to fully fund IDEA. … You guys have heard some of the examples of where those dollars go. You’ve heard about the bridges, and you’ve heard about some of these pet projects that really don’t make a lot of sense.

Watch it:

you can’t make this shit up.

    Let Palin be Palin!

No, it is you, Governor, who don’t make a lot of sense!

  3. spencers mom says:

Does anyone think that Palin would be an advocate for children with special needs if she didn’t have one herself?

No, me neither. Nothing is important to Palin or McCain until it affects them personally. I suspect that is the basis of selfishness.

    PEACE

Thank God whatever genetic strain Palin’s ancestors branched off from weren’t the first line of man’s evolution, or we would still be monkeys smashing rocks together.

  5. Nevar says:

I wonder who paid for her new glasses.
If they’re not adjusted right they’ll leave ear marks.

Un-Be-Lievable! She’s W’s intellectual idiocy on steroids! She’s a one-woman circular firing squad. She’s living proof that McWorse truly does not want the office of the Presidency, as evidenced by his choice of running mate. I shudder to think of what she’ll do to top This One!
    Impeach, while There’s Still Time!

Great apes, technically. We separated from the monkey branch of primates millions of years ago.

  8. paleolib says:

Following this election she should be forced to sit in a windowless room listening to her own drivel. Afterwards, she should be forced to meet with the victims and survivors of the deceased victims of Eric Rudolph who apparently isn’t a terrorist because he didn’t bomb the Capitol or Pentagon.

Palin is not an advocate for children with special needs. She just plays one on TV.

Palin cut Special Education budget by 62%

I t’ink ya mispoken here, mon…. didn’t you REALLY mean to say, ahem… SOME OF US separated from the monkey branch of primates millions of years ago…

It also appears some of us are more closely related to the not-so-great apes…

    ***psst… I’m lookin’ right at YOU, Limbaugh…***

  11. DwH says:

I don’t want to be talked down to (”You guys…”) as if I’m one of her children.

Such an insult to Americans, this woman’s candidacy.

  12. Bluegene says:

OT but everyone needs to see this clip of Bernie Sanders questioning Greenspan in the Senate yesterday. He skewers Greenspan’s scam. This video should go viral! Help it along.

  14. liberal traitor says:

another 2 weeks and we won’t have to listen to this woman ever again…

    I hope…

  15. barracks9 says:

They told her it was a Policy Speech and she heard “Police-y” and got all nervous and excited and Oh, Look! Something Shiny!

  16. Buckie Boy says:

…and she kept the money and spent it on other “Pet Projects”.

She’s a lying sack of crap
A lying stinking sack of liquid crap

  17. pablito says:

OK, I get it now. The only explanation for Palin’s lunacy and idiocy are as follows:

    1) She really is both lunatic and idiot. (Highly plausible.)

    2) Her speechwriters are tricksters! (Also plausible.)

    __________

I certainly wouldn’t bet money on that one… Sarah clearly LOVES the lime lite. She will be back to repeat this… kinda like bad fast food… again and again… I’ve already read blurbs about a possible Palin Presidential bid in 2012.

  19. Zimzone says:

Regardless of policy misinterpretations, the real question here is…

What was She wearing? Sachs? Neiman Marcus? Consignments?

  20. the Lone Voice of Reason says:

Buckie Boy #16–I think more highly of stinking sacks of liquid crap than that, at least you can use them for fertilizer. This woman is worthless

Good find… I will do my best to help get that out there. I always try to catch Bernie on Thom Hartmann’s Friday Brunch with Bernie.

  22. alphainfinityomega says:

A bit off topic here, but I’m one of those people who doesn’t find Sarah physically (or intellectually) attractive at all.
I’ve thought that she resembled someone (or something) and it came to me this morning.
I think she looks like Joe Camel.

    ¶ AIO

P.S. With a nasal, Fargo, Mickey Mouse voice.

  25. had enough says:

Palin has been in the national public eye for 6 – 7 weeks now.. clearly we see what a say nothing bumbling idiot she really is. To maintain a decent relationship with her people in Alaska, does she bribe them?

Alaska residents each get a yearly check for about $2,000 from oil revenues, plus an additional $1,200 pushed through by Palin…

Wonder why she “had” an 80% approval? Now it’s down to 60%.

  27. Game of Life says:

She’s one dense woman. She kept the millions for her bridge to nowhere, why didn’t she use the money for special needs children?

Tell us moosey how you spent the money on special needs children.

    the run-away vp.

    HAHAHAHA

This woman has raised two of her five children under dysfunctional conditions. She is not fit to raise children nor be in office.

  29. RWeSafer says:

Isn’t Tina Fey hilarious in this clip?

    I wish she were running…

  30. BaxterJ says:

Yet another clip that SNL can lift wholesale. Palin sure is making it easy on their writers!

  31. Yankeluh says:

Some of the $150,000.00 should have been spent on a belly button window so she can look out when her head is this far up her ass.

  32. MapleStreet says:

Well you’ve got to admit, running a campaign based on criticising your own record:

    Quite MAV-RICK-EY

  33. arizonawoman says:

oh, I can’t listen to her foreign speak any more. Please no more interviews and such. Doesn’t she look a little more frumpy? What happenend to that star look? Or is it because, dare I say it, she is trying to look more special. I know you will hate me for even saying it. But where is the hair up and the latest mod look in glasses? I am so sorry about the comment.
