We don’t need another subsidized sports arena with skyboxes for wealthy SOBs.

The Bay Area is littered with hulking monoliths, all bedecked with corporate names. Given the layoffs and bankruptcies, the only corporations left to finance or build the doondoggles will be members of the military-industrial complex. However, that will be eminently suitable. I can see it now:

Blackwater Coliseum… home of gladiatorial contests upon bloodsoaked sands.

Bechtel Park… complete with leaks.

Halliburton Arena… what could be more ballsy?

Will Rice help them with more no-bid contracts? Will slave-labor be used as in Iraq? How many players will get electrocuted in the showers???
