King is right, the rich enjoy much more freedom when his gang of thugs are in control. The fear of a totalitarian dictatorship is very real from both sides of the isle. The neo-cons will give it to us in the name of free (slanted toward the rich)markets, and the left will give it to us as big daddy “goin to take care of us po folk”. I voted for Obama because he could put a sentence together with two or more complex word structures, not because he’s an honest man. Honest men may begin a career in politics, but they soon meet the hundred royal families that control banking,commerce, the church and politics – they either bend or …break.

The other day when Sarah Palin spoke in Omaha Congressman Lee Terry (R) was not at that event and nowhere in sight. Terry instead ran an ad appealing for Obama/Terry voters.

Sarah Palin had to go across the river and pull in Steven King for the introduction. Such is the state of politics in this normally red congressional district. (Terry is a 5-term congressman).

When I hear sh*t like this, it makes me physically ill that people are trying to question his nationality or his patriotism or whatever…. why are these caucasian people so afraid of a man who went to school in Hawaii? And Raised by maternal grandparents that came from Kansas with a good mid-western work ethic? (BTW, they are caucasian, too, but they never mention that)

And isn’t it the Republicans that say that children should get their primary education at home? Don’t you think that Obama learned a lot of his values that he demonstrates every single day at the knee of his grandparents? I do.

The really thing that makes my head explode is the “he doesn’t place his hand on his heart during the National Anthem” thing. I mean, these are the right wingers. They’re all about some nationalism. You’d think that if they knew anything, they’d know about the correct protocols for displaying respect for national symbols, right? But no, they get even that wrong. You don’t put your hand on your heart while listening to or singing the National Anthem, you do when reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. That’s ‘cuz it’s a pledge. Nothing in the National Anthem constitutes a pledge of any kind. The only protocol governing participation in the National Anthem is that you stand up. In fact, using the wrong form is actually a sign of DISRESPECT for the symbol, because it demonstrates that you don’t know any better. Obama does know better, and he does it correctly.
