Cunningham: ‘People are poor in America…because they lack values, morals, and ethics.’
On his radio show yesterday, far right talker Bill Cunningham — who Sean Hannity considers a “great American” — claimed that people who are poor in America are not poor “because they lack money.” “They’re poor because they lack values, morals, and ethics,” said Cunningham. Listen here:
This is the second day in a row that Cunningham has verbally attacked the poor. On his Monday show, he declared, “Among the so-called noble poor in America…[b]irth control is not used so illegitimate children can be brought into the world, so the mom can get more checks in the mail from the government.”

If you saw Obama tonight you know what a fraud McCain/Bush truly is. Only 6 days to go for the future of America. Unless they have the fix in already and too many aren’t paying attention. Shouldn’t there be laws about defrauding voters with false information? Election day is Nov. 4th everywhere. Class action suits need to be initiated immediately for anyone who is a citizen, a registered voter, and who is denied the right to vote.

Conclusion:
There is ZERO corollary between money and morality. There are poor bums and there are rich bums. There are compassionate poor and compassionate rich.

It’s not a level playing field. That’s the reality. They have to learn to survive one way or another. They know nobody is going to do anything to help them. They are on their own.
That doesn’t apply to absolutely everyone – some break through – but it certainly starts most people in the ‘poor’ category out behind the 8 ball..

Th middle class people I know fall into two basic groups on this issue:
Liberal Democratic middle class people tend to lump themselves with the poor on issues as far as wanting good jobs, health care, ect.

As a social worker, I am appalled as how the Palin children are being raised. Why are they not in school?!! Trig should be in an early intervention program which will stimulate him. I have worked with folks with Down Syndrome. Intervention makes all the different. They tote him around like some doll.

Certainly this lack describes some of the people in the U.S., and some of those people are poor and some are not.
Are TPers, those posting previous to bit’s post, saying that there are no consequences when some people lack values, morals, and ethics.
bit believes that Cunningham’s statement is accurate; however, bit doesn’t think all poor people who lack values, morals, and ethics are bad people. Though some are, bit’s experience is that most are just ignorant about values, morals, and ethics. No one taught them, and what they were taught, in many cases, was that behavior was without consequences and that belief was unimportant.

If people aren’t taught that they are accountable to God, then they’re simply not accountable to anyone or anything. It’s bit’s opinion that this is one of the unintended consequences of removing God from the public schools.
