Laura Bush: ‘It seems like George has been on the ticket this entire time.’
Stumping in Kentucky today for Republican congressional candidate Brett Guthrie today, First Lady Laura Bush joked about comparisons between her husband and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), quipping that “it seems like George has been on the ticket this entire time”:
Bush also joked that she was looking forward to tomorrow’s election “because it seems like George has been on the ticket this entire time” – a clear reference to Democrats’ attempts to link McCain with President Bush.
Bush also praised Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who didn’t actually attend the rally. McConnell’s camp claimed it was “not due to the low popularity of President Bush.”

These clowns and many others in the 109th & 110th Congress walked lockstep with George whether it be supporting the neocon agenda or blocking progressive legislation. They are as culpable as George by being his propaganda arm on the Hill and putting party over our Country to further their right-wing agenda. The Bush Senators and Representatives are in my eyes as guilty as Cheney, Addington, Wolfowitz, Woo, Gonzales and the rest of Bush’s policy wonks. These are America’s true enemies. The supporters of an illegal war and the looting of our Treasury to fill corporate coffers, the support of a biased Justice dept and the blocking of any attempt at the Hill performing it’s oversight duties to America. Sorry Laura, the right-wing of the last eight years will go down in history as the largest group of corrupt politicians to ever darken the halls of DC. The Republican Party has been branded as the poster children of corruption and ineptitude.
