Cindy McCain thanks Cheney for his endorsement.

Last weekend, Vice President Dick Cheney offered a wholehearted endorsement of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), saying that he was “delighted to support” him. On CNN last night, Larry King asked Cindy McCain if it was “a blow” to have the endorsement. “No,” replied McCain, adding that she and her husband “thank him for his endorsement.” “He’s a marvelous man and, you know, we greatly respect him.” Watch it:

    Rove predicts Obama landslide
    Posted: 10:17 AM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

(CNN) – John McCain and his aides are still banking on a come-from-behind victory Tuesday, but the GOP’s most famous political strategist has already called the race for Barack Obama.

Karl Rove, the man widely credited with engineering President Bush’s two successful White House bids, is predicting the Illinois senator will take the White House in an Electoral College landslide, winning 338 votes to John McCain’s 200. That would be the largest Electoral College victory since 1996, when Bill Clinton defeated Bob Dole in a 379-159 rout.

“He’s a marvelous man and, you know, we greatly respect him.”

I respect him too, in the same way that you give a rattlesnake a wide berth.

  3. unbelievable Says:

I was frankly surprised that Cheney had time to get away from his busy schedule of war-mongering, oil-profiteering, and general blood-sucking to bother to endorse McCain.

...she went to add, "we look forward to vacationing at his home in Paraguay next year."

  7. Arctic Ghetto Says:

From the looks of her latest face lift she must have gone hunting with Cheney at some point.

I thought I saw a rustling behind the potted plant, maybe Dick had to poke her a bit with the barrel...

  9. misshusseinmolly Says:

Cindy probably figures there's no harm in going with the truth at this point -- that McCain basically sold his soul to the Bush machine to get votes, and even though that was a strategic blunder of mammoth proportions, they still pay homage where they owe it.

  10. Zimzone Says:

I'd like to thank you, Cindy McCain.

Without your Husband's arrogance, lack of knowledge about economics and never ending impetus for war, Americans may have actually voted him in to the Presidency.

Your world of $100 million dollar assets, multiple homes and $300,000 outfits is in another universe compared to the average American.

Dick Cheney has supported, initiated and sustained efforts to increase you '1%'rs' share of our Country's wealth.

So you go ahead and thank him. We will not. We may prosecute, we may indict, but we refuse thanking someone who had essentially raped our Country the last 8 years.

So again, Ms McCain, thank you for supporting people like Dick Cheney. It says more about you & your Husband than any commercial could fathom.

Rest assured, Cindy. The time is near to when you can go back to doing whatever it is you did before this campaign started.

No, Cheney won't be staying with the Bush's. His friends are in Dubai. Halliburton has even moved there. Cheney will buy a mansion on one of those new man-made islands off the coast of United Arab Emerites, where the billionaires get to be close to their oil without being subject to Islamic law.

  18. AnimaMundi Says:

To hell with McBotox. Today, her vote doesn't count for anymore than mine. Same for Darth Cheney.

I spent all of three minutes at the polling place.. paper ballots, god love 'em. Though it's a shame it's this easy to vote in red states..

Now, it's unlikely KY will be blue tonight, but it's just a wee bit more likely that we may throw senate minority leader Mitch McConnell off our backs-- a possibility, if a slim one.

But more importantly, I hope I don't have to lose sleep over another election, the way I did in 2004-- if you know what I mean..

  19. DwH Says:

The words "respect" and "Dick Cheney" just don't belong in the same sentence.

Funny - Fox Noise in a tither because Hugo Chavez endorsed Obama - Ooooo - Endorsed by a Dictator.

McCain has been endorsed by TWO DICTATORS - GEORGE W. BUSH AND DICK CHENEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is a thieving , pill popping adulteress talking about respect ?

How much respect did she have for McDepends' real wife , Carol , much less for herself ?

  24. techsong Says:

Sorry Cindy respect for Dick Cheney is a negative. Thanks for that endorsement you just helped Obama.

  25. Shayne Says:

That's no surprising southernbelle. This morning Joe Scarborough on MSNBC was making a big deal out of Bill Ayers voting at Obama's polling place shortly before Obama did. If they were "friends" then maybe they would have spoken and Obama could have told him to wait. But that makes sense.

  26. dumbstruck Says:

Can you imagine how well a video of McCain thanking Cheney for his endorsement would have run?

John's getting Cindy to do his job for him.

That won't help their sales! What with Google's maps having to be blurred out and all.

  32. jb Says:

Thanks, but no thanks....Cheney just keeps shooting.
