Listened to his speech last night. The man speaks beautifully.

bit is praying that the country is as happy with its choice of President on Nov 5, 2012 as it is today.

After trivializing slavery and racism, McCain got ugly. He suggested that the election of an African-American to the presidency should erase the “memories” of the past and that it showed that we are “a world away from the cruel and prideful bigotry of that time” (namely, the time when TR invited BTW to the White House). Then came these words: “Let there be no reason now for any American to fail to cherish their citizenship in this, the greatest nation on earth.” This strikes me as a slap at Michelle Obama for having said that once she had not been proud of America. More broadly, it further suggests that African-Americans, Hispanics, women, gays, and other disaffected individuals have no reason to be disaffected. They have their token now, and thus have no right or reason to feel the memories of past injustice or the daily sting of present ones. Well if he says so…..

That article is a total load of crap. Is this going to be the new theme on Bush: saving his “legacy”? Bush was a self-serving, party-first partizan hack, and puppet for the neocon agenda. He is a traitor and a criminal, and trying to sugar coat anything about his administration is beyond bizzarre. I have no pity or sympathy for him or any of his toadies or pals. His legacy, as history will record it, will be one of the darkest times in American history (and that is going up against some dark times). The divisiveness that the republicans hve engaged in for the last 8 years will continue to scar us for many years to come.

But the healing has begun.

I know First Lady Michelle Obama will change that pronto.

Hillary wasn’t the right woman for so many reasons, it had absolutely nothing to do with sexism. Hillary became the sameoldsameold real quick. Her demeanor after her lost proved volumes towards her personality. Her and her husband’s lack of hustle for Sen. Obama (it wasn’t needed after all; that was proven early) ended Hillary’s presidential career. It’s her fault.

The apparent GOP talking point (courtesy of Morning Joe) is that America should brace itself for the huge let down because Obama has been “deified” by the electorate and he is sure to disappoint.
