Palin on the media: ‘There have been some stinkers.’
Sarah Palin stopped tonight to answer a few questions from the Alaskan press in an attempt to dispel some of the recent damaging media reports about her involvement in the McCain campaign. “I know that I know that I know that there was nothing done wrong in the campaign,” she said. Palin complained that the other 49 states “aren’t quite there” like Alaska because they don’t allow the same “equal opportunities and equal treatment.” She then argued that, while has been some “fairness and objectivity” by some in the media, “there have been some stinkers.” Watch Keith Olbermann’s report:
Defending the purchase of her fancy, expensive clothes during the campaign, she claimed, “I never asked for anything more than maybe a Diet Dr. Pepper once in a while.”

But you need to understand that, after nearly 8 long years of the Bush administration, we all want to just be able to celebrate a victory for a change. Obama doesn’t even take office until Jan. 20, 2009. Can you at least wait until we see how Obama and Rahm interact once in the White House before you make further judgements? You are assuming that he, rather than Obama, is going to be running the show. I don’t know why you would assume that, and it indicates that you don’t really have much faith in the new President-elect. Believe me, I’m no loyalist myself. If I see a betrayal, I’ll call it then.

Rahm is not running the show. Obama has the final say. It is crucial that Obama be able to get through legislation in his first 100 days, it will be the most crucial time of his presidency. If he sees Rahm as someone who can keep the Democrats on point, all the better. I’m not a politically seasoned person, in fact this was the first election I’ve ever voted in. You can’t see the forest for the trees. I will reserve my judgement of his choices until I see the results of the administration’s actions.

The center’s influence with Obama is substantial: It was created by former Clinton White House official John D. Podesta, a co-chairman of the transition effort, and much of its staff has been swept into planning for Obama’s first 100 days in office.
I’m pretty sure Obama has his liberal agenda being well cared for, thanks for the “concern”.

November 11th, 2008 at 3:14 amhey debs, hiya old friend. he has to start solving the problems on day 1. bush was terrible,so there is much work to be done. obama has a clear mandate, lots of support and free reign for at least 100 days. i am hopeful that he can do no more damage, and in fact reverse some of the policies in that time. if the recession gets deeper, the wars get worse, and unemployment continues to climb, thats on obama. we can not go through 4 years of blaming bush, we don’t have that time. i hope obama is a man of action, and the action he takes will determine if he is a man of good judgement. i know you are a liberal, so you may find this useless, but i pray that he does well. i hope he hits all our expectations, but if he only hits some i will be happy and be the first one to campaign for him in 2012.get us out of iraq, start up the economy, unite us, i will be happy. if we are hit by terrorist attacks, the economy gets worse, and for 4 years he blames bush, well we will throw him out in 4 years. he has a choice, he can be FDR, or jimmy carter. i know which one i prefer, how about you?
November 11th, 2008 at 6:05 amand debs, two more things; eugene debs was a socialist, he was arrested, tried, and convicted of sedition during ww1, and was sent to prison. he was followed by norman thomas as the socialist leader. both had close ties to russian communists, in fact debs was nominated for a nobel prize by a communist from finland. thomas’grandson, evan thomas, is a opinion columnist for time or newsweek, i forget which. and second, i have never quite figured out socialists, who really believe that big government is the answer to our problems. let me explain why. a few years ago, the federal government seized a place called the ‘mustang ranch’ a legal bordello in nevada.[apparently prostitution is legal in some parts of nevada]the governmeny had to close it up because they were not making money. now, how do you go broke if you are selling booze and sex? only the government could do that.lastly, i would like to say any time you feel like you want to ’slap me around’ in person feel free to try.
