Tim Vaculik:
Might you show any tangible evidence that team bush has done anything beyond the norm for an outgoing administration? Thanks-

One other fact you Bush haters conveniently ignore is that the President put together a transition team MONTHS ago before it even became apparent that Barack Obama might win.

What was the goal of this transition team? The President is determined to ensure among other things that there is a seamless transfer of operational aspects of all the myriad anti-terrorist activities that are ongoing. He is determined to ensure there are no gaps than can be exploited by our enemies.

The President has been providing unprecedented access to high-level security information to the Obama team as well as the McCain team for some time.

You folks are the one that need to "take a shower." I'm pleased to know that the President elect doesn't stoop to the gutter-level talk so common here.

In 2006 The Dems stabbed Ned Lamont in the back!

In 2006, in his re-election campaign for Senator, Lieberman lost the Democratic primary bid to Ned Lamont, but ran as an Independent in the general election ...

Five Democratic Senators maintained their support for Lieberman, and Lieberman also received the strong support of former Senator and Democratic stalwart Bob Kerrey, who offered to stump for him.[111] Democratic minority leader Harry Reid, while endorsing Lamont, promised Lieberman that he would retain his committee positions and seniority if he prevailed in the general election.

>for the last seven years the President
> has taken the steps necessary to
> prevent another terrorist
> attack within our country.

Please list all feasible, logistically plausible plots by terrorists against the united states homeland that have been foiled by the bush administration?

______
tom Says:

Obama likely went to the White House to keep GDumbya company while Michelle and LaLa toured and dealt with the “First Lady” stuff.

GDumbya’s kind of a lonely old lame duck these days so Obama was showing compassion by letting him drone on and on. Other than that, there was nothing to learn from the moron.

______

"So Democratic audiences are often surprised when I tell them that I don’t consider George Bush a bad man, and that I assume he and members of his Administration are trying to do what they think is best for the country."

"…I find the President and those who surround him to be pretty much like everybody else, possessed of the same mix of virtues and vice, insecurities and long-buried injuries, as the rest of us. No matter how wrong-headed I might consider their policies to be—and no matter how much I might insist that they be held accountable for the results of such policies—I still find it possible, in talking to these men and women, to understand their motives, and to recognize in them values I share."

How did this guy ever get approval? After the biggest air defense failure in our history, he becomes the mucho-macho "commander in chief" and people rally behind him. No court martial. No forensic investigations. He sat in a grade school classroom, for crying out loud!

I honestly don't get it. The "trifecta" part, I get; but why Americans rallied around him escapes me completely. If Americans really believe that air traffic controllers can't actually control air traffic, and that planes can become invisible by turning off their transponders, then why are they afraid of terrorists? They should be afraid of chaos and mismanagement leading up to an inevitable 20 plane pile up of a tarmac somewhere. They should be wondering when someone is going to get control of air traffic and what the hell NORAD is doing about air defense.

Too much television? Twelve years of public education? What?!

No it isn't bleak, it is more just an acknowledgement of reality. Unfortunate yes, bleak not so much. The thing to do is to work toward not making people want to do such things.

Wow so that’s it? The terrorists are free to strike at will and there’s nothing we can do about it? Pretty bleak view of things don’t you think?

I am certain that, unlike most of you here, Barack Obama went to the White House to listen and learn.

Funny thing there! Did anyone get a tape of the conversation between Obama and Bush? Seems that Tim V did.

wisedup Says:

This time Obama took a shower to get the bush STINK off of him.

A complete fumigation or the whole place will be necessary.

Like it or not, folks, for the last seven years the President has taken the steps necessary to prevent another terrorist attack within our country.

The weight of this awesome responsibility will soon pass to the new President. This was undoubtedly high on the list of topics discussed in the meeting today.
