Today on “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough was discussing the calm nature of the Obama campaign and accidentally used the f-word. His guests joked about needing a seven-second delay. After apologizing, Scarborough said, “My wife is going to kill me when I get home.” Watch it:
Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN), who was a guest later in the show, said “I suggest a little more tolerance for everyone in the public space, elected officials included,” adding, “We’re all human.”
Scarborough (R-FL) once again proves that the party of "family values" lacks family values.

And trust a Dem for putting a good spin on it.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:00 amMike Barnicle's reaction was Priceless.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:03 amWe seriously need to get over this Purtitanical nonsense if we want to fix the real problems in our country.
Curse words are harmless.
Let's talk about health care.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:04 amOh, big fu(king deal. I thought Joe handled it as well as could be expected.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:04 amPerfectly expressed, unbelievable.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:05 amI concur. Topless beaches should also be allowed.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:08 amhe'd fit right in here ,, now if he could just learn to step up the personal attacks on people he didn't agree with to a fever pitch he could be a regular poster .
November 10th, 2008 at 10:09 amJoe Scarborough drops accidental f-bomb on live TV.»
November 10th, 2008 at 10:11 am- - Joe The F-Bomber, wonder what your fu*kin dead intern would think of such behavior.
Oh f uck.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:12 amHere a sample Joe .
I am asking for an honest opinion .
Here’s one…you’re a f**king POS arsehole.
GOT PEACE ?
Got intelligence? The answer is obviously ‘no’, you f**king goat raping loser.
Do you like be hit upside the head with cylindrical objects?
Ever going to respond to where you live and why you hide in your basement wearing Depends
This no doubt involved Timmeh getting, how shall we say, a FIRM grasp on himself and proceeding to, ah, rub vigorously until…
Translated: Tim’s mom needs the computer for her computer sex job.
You’re kinda stupid, eh Tim?
Kind of hard to imagine this d0uchebag actually being productive at any given time ………..What a loser.
Go f!ck yourself, Tim Vacuous!
No shit I am so glad that we all can say/spell d0uchebag now. Now if only we can all agree on the correct spelling of anole eyes….Wonder who ties his shoelaces for him ……….
freeman, you still haven’t F**ked yourself yet, you POS arsehole. We’re waiting….better yet, find that freeway and go play in the fast land, you loser.
Stop your lying you have no friends.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:15 amFunny thing was there was no actual discussion of the topic of the thread throughout these exchanges for the majority of a hundred posts.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:17 amYou think this is progressive ?
freeman, why haven't you f**ked off yet?
Your obsession with me is getting spooky, princess.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:18 amI see freeman has completely abandoned his pretense toward reasoned discussion in favor of a more bombastic, sarcastic approach.
Fascinating evolution.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:18 amThanks ralph the wonder llama I'm just so tired of all these non-issues wasting our time when we need to be focused on stuff that really matters.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:18 amFreeman proves once again that he's a reich-wing concern troll.
Exposed.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:19 amI haven't seen the video (I can't view it here at work), but I find it a bit puzzling that Obama's "calm nature" would inspire an f-bomb. Now I'm really curious to hear the context.
BTW -- if calm nature motivated the f-word out of Joe, what does the bellicose nature of some of our other politicians trigger?
November 10th, 2008 at 10:19 amImagine a world where education actually set the standard. The journalists and websiters expect their college degrees to procure positions of literary authority but they want to be free to speak and write as the great unwashed. I don't buy it. If you can't convey ideas with respect for a vernacular of decency, let's find eloquence elsewhere.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:20 amShit happens.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:20 amDr. Hussein Matt Says: I concur. Topless beaches should also be allowed.
Several years ago, I went to a the Club Med in Martinique with a friend of mine. She went to the topless beach one morning and later told me that it was very easy to tell which men were American and which men were European simply by the way they handled her being topless.
It's also time for us to stop defining the naked female body as something unnatural or evil.

Topless beaches are allowed, but only for men currently. But I'll tell you what. I'll gladly trade women's bikini tops for men's banana hammocks ( please guys, if you think you look good in one of those, you don't ).
November 10th, 2008 at 10:21 amFreeman, Shouldn't you be busy banning the bad guys on Sean Hannity's forum?
November 10th, 2008 at 10:22 amoh, isn't that nice of the milquetoast bayh to come to lying scarborough's defense... amazing to see how considerate and forgiving they are to each other; the village support system thrives.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:23 amI've been to Spain and France several times during the summer. I found it easy to pick out the Americans on the [topless and nude] beaches....they were usually wearing sunglasses.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:24 amfreeman
November 10th, 2008 at 10:24 amWith all due respect, it is getting a little tiresome. Why not just forget it and move on?
Hussein McCain Says:
Freeman, Shouldn’t you be busy banning the liberals on Sean Hannity’s forum?
there, fixed it for you....
November 10th, 2008 at 10:24 amMy experience with nude beaches is that the people that frequent them are the folks you least want to see naked...
November 10th, 2008 at 10:27 amAwesome!

Oy, it's perfectly fine to show peoples' heads being blown off on network television - in prime time, yet - but God forbid someone should say "f***"...
Besides, the wingnuts would have us believe that it's only we liberals who are foul-mouthed...but dayum, when I think about it, I can only come up with 2 people who have dropped the old F-bomb in public -- and both of them are rightwingers.
Hypocrisy at its finest, eh?
November 10th, 2008 at 10:36 am*Flagged*, Off-topic and spamming
November 10th, 2008 at 10:37 amSorry but, so f&*%ing what (hail the Anti-Nowhere League).
Really, this is hardly noteworthy, except to demonstrate the junior high levels of emotional maturity demonstrated by the TV airheads as they react to the "scandalous" moment. "Ooooh, Joe's in trouble..."
If Joe had accidentally made mention of the dead intern and his habit of cruising people in the lobby at 30 Rock (anecdotal evidence), that would be worthy of further comment. The f-bomb "controversy" is piffle.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:42 amI see "freeman" finally woke up.
Hey buddy, "eat my fcuk"!

Funny thing was there was no actual discussion of the topic of the
"Funny thing" is you derail every thread you dis-grace with your presence and off topic screed.

Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night! - Truman Burbank
November 10th, 2008 at 10:43 amI'm looking forward to the next article TP posts about the Obama transition team, so freeman can tell us all how uncivil we are.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:43 amWe all know that if it had been Rachal Maddow or Keith Olberman who said it, every right wing "family value" group would be up in arms demanding his firing. Until I hear the "family value" crowd demand his firing, it's just another case of the hyprocacy that overwhelms the God Squads..
November 10th, 2008 at 10:43 amWhy bother posting expletives and personal insults , is our command of the language inadequate to present decent arguments ..... pun intended. Many people pass on the comments here because they seem to rely heavily on vulgarities . An occasion curse is one thing but show some class .
November 10th, 2008 at 10:43 amPersonal attacks on other bloggers to the site are another matter . They are doing the site harm .
freeman @ 10:35
hmmm... seems to me, then, freeman, although I have never conversed with you, or remember reading any of your comments, that you might be in violation with the forum rules to begin with... namely:
where information and progressive views can be shared
With a name like "freeman" -- I am assuming that you might just be a free-market fan --- that would indicate that the you might not hold many (any?) progressive views. Just sayin'
As for the rude comments directed at you, including the ones you listed above, they aren't half as bad as those that I have read on directed at liberals on some right wing blogs over the years... doesn't make it right, but there you go...
November 10th, 2008 at 10:45 amWould y'all just can the pissing match?
November 10th, 2008 at 10:50 amUm, point one -- there is no "pun" there that I can see.
Point two -- while vulgar language can indicate an unsophisticated command of language, it need not be the case. Some who have a strong grasp of communicative skills appreciate the salty flavor or expressive punch of a good old Anglo-Saxon curse word.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:51 amOh, mom, you're just no fun... :)
November 10th, 2008 at 10:54 amThis isn't a "pissing match" Freeman is a troll. It comes here every day acting the victim and criticizing TP.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:56 amScarborough says much more offensive things every day without using any banned words.
November 10th, 2008 at 10:56 amYou could see a low grade panic set in when he realized he just put a crack his target demographic image.
November 10th, 2008 at 11:01 amScarborough is an insufferable ass-hole; MSNBC needs to show him the door.... Mika too.

November 10th, 2008 at 11:33 amfreeman@11
The last one is right on. This person has wonderful insight.
This person is a genius!
I would do as everyone said, it's a hint.
November 10th, 2008 at 11:36 amfreeman doesn't remember Joe's diatribes against the loose nipple or his condemnation of Bono's use of the F word which by the way went on and on
November 10th, 2008 at 12:09 pmOh my kids can't even watch the Stupid Bowl without porn Being human we need to give him some slack it would be nice if the pompous ass would give other people the same benefit
Who cares? I still want to know the truth about Lori Kausitus, the young intern who was found dead in Scarborough's congressional office just before Joe quickly resigned from Congress. Did she or did she know have a blow to the head? Was she sexually involved with Joe Scarborough? Why did the republican authorities in Florida quickly try to sweep the issue under the rug? I want to know if Joe Scarborough killed a young woman with whom he was having an affair!
November 10th, 2008 at 12:12 pmfreeman your generalizations are as fake as you.
Your plural pronouns overuse is proof of your loneliness.
I wonder if scar will get fined/suspended? How can one not know one used that word. This is up there with a bare brown breast. HAHAHAHA
November 10th, 2008 at 12:13 pmSorry for the typo - I meant did she or did she not suffer a blow to the head.
November 10th, 2008 at 12:13 pmSorry again. I had her name wrong. It is Lori Klausutis. And after those of you who don't know about this google on it and see the details, ask yourself whether or not this would be a big issue if Joe Scarborough had been a democrat.
November 10th, 2008 at 12:18 pmfreeman: "Why bother posting expletives and personal insults , is our command of the language inadequate to present decent arguments"
Did you vote for Bush and Cheney? Bush used nasty language referring to a journalist over a live mike in public. Cheney used extremely nasty language directed at a sitting Senator on the Senate floor. So, if you supported and/or support those two, shut the heck up with your phony outrage about nasty language.
November 10th, 2008 at 12:29 pmSomebody run that tape over to the Supreme Court and they can add it to their "incidental use" list as they debate the F word without using the F word.

November 10th, 2008 at 12:59 pmThe FCC is going to fine MSNBC HUGE gobs of money.
November 10th, 2008 at 2:02 pmI loved it when the woman said: Come to mommy...Awesome!!!
