On the O’Reilly factor last night, Dennis Miller declared that liberal women hate Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) because “she has a great sex life”:
She’s a great dame. People are fascinated by her because the Left hate her. I think the Left hate her — mostly women on the Left hate her — because to me from outside in it appears that she has a great sex life, all right? I think she has non-neurotic sex with that Todd Palin guy. … I think that snow mobile looks like mechanized foreplay to me and that’s why people are fascinated.
Watch it:
Male pundits seem obsessed with Palin’s sex life. In September, a CNBC host admitted, “I want her laying next to me in bed.” Throughout the campaign, conservatives constantly praised Palin’s good looks, with Rush Limbaugh frequently referring to her as a “babe.” (HT: Gawker)
Yes, that's why people who vehemently disagree with all of her positions on every issue feel that she's unfit for high office. That also must be why people on both sides of the political spectrum who have some respect for the position she sought feel that she's unqualified.
Because Dennis Miller thinks she's good in the sack.
That makes... sense?
Besides, I don't think a biblical fundamentalist can have "non-neurotic" sex.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:21 pmDennis Miller is a phuking idiot. As a "woman on the left" I couldn't care less about the sex lives of any of these folks (which is why gay rights is about human rights, not sexuality!) but why are Miller and his ilk so focused on the Palin bedroom?
What we have seen is Sarah's affinity for leather. Just saying...

November 13th, 2008 at 7:21 pmI just left this comment over at MediaMatters:
Am I the only one who thinks it's creepy that Dennis MIller is imagining Sarah and Todd having a great sex life?
(Okay, I guess I've outed myself; ralph the wonder llama IS Archfiend at MMFA)
November 13th, 2008 at 7:21 pmPerhaps Denny would like to double check his assumption with Todd. And her former affair partner guy. Heh.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:21 pmI am betting that Failin' Palin is a lousy lay. In addition to that, she probably doesn't shut up even while she does the horizontal tango. Just the thought of that is enough to kill my sex drive.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:21 pmSure because it isnt the RIGHTWING that is always acting so sexually repressed that they are obsessed with the sex life of others. WAIT, yes it IS. When did Dennis become such an idiot?
November 13th, 2008 at 7:22 pmDennis Miller's sex life is probably all hand made, so I can understand his envy.

My friends, hubby and I actually were speculating about this sort of thing the other day, but, we were talking about the Obamas! The way they look at each other is smoking!!
November 13th, 2008 at 7:26 pmComedian wanna-be meet beauty-queen wannabe.
I guess Mr. Miller must focus on the supposed positives of Gov. Palin's private life 'cause he couldn't possibly stand listening to her.
One of the few skills of Mr. Miller is his extensive vocabulary and interest in "word play." He must watch her with the mute button engaged.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:26 pmWell, it would appear that the Palins have had sex at least five times during their marriage, so maybe that's why Miller thinks her sex life is great. That's more than he gets.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:27 pmDennis Miller: Liberal women hate Sarah Palin because ‘she has a great sex life.’»
November 13th, 2008 at 7:28 pm- - Uh oh, Dennis Miller is infringing on Rich Lowry's little starbursts.
"a great dame"? lol, how old is Dennis anyway!
November 13th, 2008 at 7:28 pmI can honestly say that I know nothing about Sarah Palin's sex life, nor do I wish to. I assume she has one (those kids came from somewhere), but this never factored into my opinion of her politically. And yes -- I consider myself a "liberal woman".
Dennis is so full of sh!t he needs a high colonic. He'll be amazed at how much better he feels afterward.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:30 pmI think the Left hate her — mostly women on the Left hate her — because to me from outside in it appears that she has a great sex life, all right?
What would the right wing do without strawmen?
The left doesn't "hate" her at all for one thing, but her desperate attempt to cling to her 15 minutes of fame is getting pretty pathetic.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:31 pmYou're right, mary. Palin's no "dame". She's clearly a "broad". :)
November 13th, 2008 at 7:32 pmMy favorite part:
"...that snow mobile looks like mechanized foreplay to me..."
This is "non-neurotic?" That sounds like Miller's getting pretty crazy-kinky there.
Also - in before the moose jokes start... GO!
November 13th, 2008 at 7:32 pmI hope they make a reality TV show out of all this soon and really play it up on TV. I don't watch TV and this would make all things Palin go away for me. Very selfish I know. I will not stop all reading/posting of Palin posts.

November 13th, 2008 at 7:33 pmI find it amazing that these wingnuts keep alluding to Sarah Palin being attractive, sexy etc. I find her repulsive. Perhaps they've all been staring too long at Ann Coulter, so Palin is nothing more than a sight for sore eyes.

Adultery
27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[e] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

lol, good one Wayne! For some reason this story hits my funnybone. Which is a nice break from the irritation I've been feeling at seeing her everywhere I look these days!
I was somewhat comforted when, before the election, I overheard an exchange between a couple of young male co-workers in which one said that Palin was "hot" and the other guy, a college student, said, "But, that doesn't qualify her for office!".
November 13th, 2008 at 7:38 pmY'know, I just hope like heck that anyone here who attacks Miller for his comments has never defended the off color remarks of Al Franken as "satire".
Taking a stand up comedian seriously is a trifle silly. But if you are going to, at least be consistent and hold the left wing entertainers to the same standard. Also, Miller is a pundit; Franken is trying to become a Senator.

November 13th, 2008 at 7:44 pmThe morning of the election, when the tv cameras were on her (yet again) after Palin had voted, she rambled on and on like some kind of pull-toy and then turned to her husband, who had been standing there the whole time, and asked him, "Do you have anything you'd like to say?", or something like that, and he just opened his mouth like a fish, "Ah, ah, ah" and I thought, oh yeah, that's sexy (not!).
He doesn't seem too bright to me and that's not sexy at all.
November 13th, 2008 at 7:46 pmD0uchebag Miller is such a colossal imbecile…..
Most deeply religious twits like Bible Spice very rarely enjoy a healthy sex life , much less a “wonderful” one .

Other than speculation about who is Trig's father, pretty much all I ever hear people say is how Sarah Palin is a blithering idiot who can't string an intelligent sentence together, which is entirely true. She's a total fraud and the fact that you believe in her says volumes about you.

November 13th, 2008 at 8:07 pmBilbo, where did I say I believed in Sarah Palin? Hmm?
I said hold Franken and Miller to the same standard. Do you really think that Miller thinks a snowmobile is a Palin family sex toy? Then you must also think that Franken really thinks Beastiality is an appropriate topic for sixth graders or a mere 26000 viewings of murder on TV for kids by age 18 is okay.
Just be consistent in your condemnation of inappropriate humor, or let everyone fire away judgement free.
At a recent fund-raiser not unlike tonight's, Franken did a bit about Sen. Joe Lieberman's crusade against on-line porn and video violence. Afterward, a woman who took him literally came up to have her picture taken with Franken and then berated him.
What he had said was that Lieberman likes to cite a statistic that, at first, sounds alarming. The statistic is that, by the time a kid turns 18 in this country, he'll have seen more than 26,000 murders on TV.
"Now, that sounds like a lot," Franken said. "But, if you do the math, it's only six a day, so I don't know what the senator's got his yarmulke in a twist about."
Franken has a 17-year-old son and a 21-year-old daughter. So we talked about kids for a while, which eventually took us back to what got him in trouble.
Lieberman wants to restrict kids' library access to the Internet while Franken insists it's a great learning tool. "In sixth grade, my son used the Internet to do an amazing report on bestiality," Franken said. "He downloaded a lot of great visual aids and the kids in the class just LOVED them, because, at that age you know, they're just sponges."

The other republican governors who lust for the presidency are even now forming strategies to rat-f/u/c/k her, way before '12. Judging by how warm Barack & Michelle seems with one another, I'd assume, how nice they appear together in the open, would transfer to the bedroom too. Ooooh boo! Obama's got a sexlife! Poo poo on him! I hate him too!
...bottomline. Shut up, Miller.

November 13th, 2008 at 9:01 pmGummitch, my time is short, but I have a question for you.
If you are watching Dave Chapelle or Carlos Mencia ridiculing their ethnic group and you laugh, does that make you racist? I would say no.
I ask because I was watching Miler on O'Reilly last night and when he made the crack about Barney Frank wanting to be arrested, I laughed. Does that make me a homophobe in your judgement? I know I am not, too many gay friends and students in my life, but dammit, it was a clever crack. It was funny. I think Barney Frank himself may have laughed, just like black people would laugh at Chapelle or Richard Pryor.
I know this was brought up on a different thread but I don't do threads with "O'Reilly" in the title.
I am asking because it seems to me the left is so damned thin skinned when someone pokes fun at them, but when the right is being ridiculed, however viciously, it is just "satire". There seems to me to be a double standard - would you agree?

I said hold Franken and Miller to the same standard. Do you really think that Miller thinks a snowmobile is a Palin family sex toy? Then you must also think that Franken really thinks Beastiality is an appropriate topic for sixth graders or a mere 26000 viewings of murder on TV for kids by age 18 is okay.
November 13th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
________
I do hold them to the same standard - the fact is that Dennis Miller's schtick just isn't all that funny. It's just the bitter rants of a guy whose niche in socio-political comedy has been co-opted by funnier and more talented people.
I've got no problem with off-color humor, or even humor about sexuality or race or ethnicity. I think Carlos Mencia is funny as hell, and he says shit that's just plain offensive. Dave Chapelle, David Alan Grier - they cross the cringe line all the time. Stewart and Colbert also make lots of jokes about race and religion and sexuality, with some jokes that admittedly aren't too far from Miller's "Barney Frank would love it in prison" bit.
But there's a difference. With these guys, there's always the wink - you know it's in fun, it's not meant to offend - what's being made fun of IS the stereotype, not the people being stereotyped.
With Miller I don't get that wink. All I hear from him is bitterness. Mean-spirited, unfunny bitterness.
That's just me. It's all subjective. Miller has every right to say what he wants, no matter how wrong or completely idiotic.

Franken has stopped doing comedy and switched to public service. Miller is trying to have it both ways - continuing to say offensive things while claiming to be a political commentator. Difference: Franken is not currently saying offensive things, and hasn't since before he started running for Senate.
I don't see where Miller even gets to claim he's a comedian any more. What comedy show is he in? Football? Right-wing talk radio? Bill 'O? None of those claim to be comedy shows. Therefore, he's not a comedian.
Keltoi at Night Says:
If you are watching Dave Chapelle or Carlos Mencia ridiculing their ethnic group and you laugh, does that make you racist? I would say no.
First of all, I have to go with the Avenue Q song, "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist." Everyone. I'll set aside the fact that Mencia's making jokes about hispanics and Chappelle's making jokes about blacks, and just say that there's a big difference between laughing with and laughing at, and typically the folks being laughed at can tell the difference.
Case in point: let's compare Miller's "maybe he wants to get arrested" by a comment made by Dan Savage on the Colbert Report the other night: when asked (regarding the black vote on prop. 8) whether "the black man was holding you down," Savage responded "well, some black men have held me down in the past." See, he can give permission to make fun of himself. I didn't see Frank in the live feed while Bill and Dennis were picking on his sexuality.

It truly is all subjective. I didn't think about the Stewart/Colbert aspect of it. All the people you say you see winking are liberals and Miller is not...probably just an eye of the beholder thing. I don't think Miller is a homophobe, truly, not from all I have ever heard him say, anyway.

Point taken, but I am a white, straight male. (How boring! I try to spice it up with paganism, bigamy and alcoholism, though...)but does that mean I can't laugh at Mencia, Chapelle and Savage because I am not part of their tribe? I am sure they would want me to watch their routine and laugh at their stuff....it is kinda like a more benign form of appropriate use of the N-word.
In a way, all humor, whether from the left or right, that gets its power from targeting a group, whether you are a member of that group or not, is not what I would call true wit. I think Steve Martin is one of the funniest comedians I have ever heard...his material was free of all that.

November 13th, 2008 at 9:31 pmKeltoi fails to recognize that in the jokes he cites from Al Franken, the butt of the joke is himself or his own son.
Dennis Miller, who was appearing on a Faux News punditry program, instead chose to make fun of a stereotype that is a political opponent.
That's a big difference between professional and conservative comedy. Conservatives tend to embrace the grade school tactic of making fun of the underdog, without realizing that the rest of us outgrew that kind of mean-spirited humor when we graduated middle school.
Okay, high school.

Hmmm...interesting point. Self-deprecating humor is always the best. Steve Martin's "The Jerk" is exhibit A. And it does seem that as a general rule, liberals are funnier than conservatives. On that point, I am fascinated to see what Stewart and Colbert do with the next 4 years. It wasn't long ago that Stewart had to reassure his audience that it was okay to laugh at Obama...that was a very telling moment.
November 13th, 2008 at 9:47 pmDennis Miller is a peeping tom?
Really, I am tired of reading some pundits inane opinion [sad attempt at controversy creation].
November 13th, 2008 at 10:08 pmKeltoi, I don't think Jon Stewart will have to scrape for material. Granted, the Bush years have been exceptionally rich ones for comedians, but Stewart's stock-in-trade has always been skewering the absurdities of the media more than politicians. And Obama will be sure to have some silliness in his administration.
Colbert will have no problem at all, since his act skewers conservative gasbags, and that crowd is about to get a B-12 shot, as they will no longer have to play so much defense.
November 13th, 2008 at 10:11 pmDennis Miller is a F**KTARD!

I can't believe I used to like Dennis Miller.
November 13th, 2008 at 10:27 pmSee, this is the intellectual depth of the right. They are such juveniles. And poor Sarah. I wish people -- everyone -- would stop encouraging her to talk. There's obviously something wrong there. I don't know whether it's a mental deficit of some sort, or pathological dishonesty, or what, but, clearly, she doesn't realize (nor apparently do the people around her, including her family) that most of the world is laughing at her and the rest of the world is ... what? ... lusting, I suppose. It's just sad. Very, very sad.
November 13th, 2008 at 10:27 pmIf Sarah Palin came on to Dennis the Menace Miller, his weenie would shrivel up like Costanza at the Beach.

No it isnt that subjective NOR is it that, poor victimized Dennis who is targetting a persecuted minority is a conservative and Stewart is making fun of those PERSECUTING AN UNPOPULAR MINORITY is liberal. It is what was posted "what is being made fun of IS THE STEREOTYPE not the PEOPLE BEING STEREOTYPED. That is the crucial difference. It isnt mean sprited to satirize bigotry. It is mean spirited to ridicule the victims of bigotry. This really isnt that complicated
November 14th, 2008 at 12:10 amIt's really weird how Dennis Miller changed over the span of 20 years from smart funny guy to big A-Hole.

November 14th, 2008 at 12:53 amI watched an interview with Miller's former head writer from the syndicated tv talk show of bygone years. This was just after Miller had emerged as a reborn con. When the interviewer asked Jeff Cesario if he was surprised by the change of world view, the writer replied that no one from that show was surprised, and implied that Miller's former liberal persona was an act.

OK, If having Obama elected means Dennis Miller will have more work to attempt comedy on Hannity and ORielly. So be it.
I can live with Miller practicing his comedy on FOX. FOX has alot of money that they don't know what to do with, I guess spending on training Miller in comedy is OK.
Miller can make all the jokes he wishes when and if Obama makes Supreme Court Justice nominations.
Rush, BillO, Hannity, and the conservative blather tanks are going to need alot of money to stay on the air. They are not competing in the market. They are subsidized by the GOP and they won't have the income to keep them afloat. But, if enough of the " Greedy" continue to donate and subsidize these blather heads. Maybe they can continue. It will take away from GOP future candidates.

November 14th, 2008 at 7:08 amSince he became a Bush follower Dennis Miller hasn't been funny. Arrogance and sarcasim tend to work better when you are going AGAINST the Establishment; against the power. Dennis just isn't funny anymore. Oh, wait! Yes, he is. To about 7% of the population.
November 14th, 2008 at 7:14 amOK, Miller knows that Larry Flynt's porno film about Sarah Palin featured a lookalike, right?
Right?!
November 14th, 2008 at 7:29 amYeah, right, because I find the lack of intelligence soooo verrry sexy. Dennis Miller seriously creeps me out.
November 14th, 2008 at 8:26 amI can forgive Miller for his rants. He's bucking for a new show on FOX. They keep trying to be funny but apparently much like facts, comedy has a liberal bias. Regarding Palin, I've always figured Republican/Conservative/extreme religious women were all frigid. Isn't that why so many GOP males are compelled to chase prostitutes, solicit men in rest rooms, swap lewd e-mails with underage pages, start endless wars, get hard-ons visualizing torturing brown people, have male prostitutes purged from the WH visitor log, purchase high caliper fire arms, keep man-sized safes (filled with assorted dildos and butt-plugs) and insert their conservative points of view into Americans bedrooms? Let's face it, Republican women are frigid and Republican men hate women. Oh, and Dennis Miller is about as funny as a flag-draped coffin.
November 14th, 2008 at 8:34 amDennis Miller: Liberal women hate Sarah Palin because ‘she has a great sex life.'
Jebus. Dennis, you idiot!!! Get it right, you moron - we liberal women hate Sarah Palin because she didn't abort Trig.

I thank the ungod that you have become just another benthic feeder in the polluted ocean of Fox News.
November 14th, 2008 at 11:25 amHmmmm, aside from the utter knuckle dragging absurdity of that comment . . . just how would he know?
November 14th, 2008 at 11:36 amWhat? Is Dennis Miller still here? The guy is so fricking irrelevant I thought he faded away long ago. He's just not funny. If he WERE funny, then FOX would have had an answer to The Daily Show by now. Elton John had it right when he told a Las Vegas audience just after Miller's racist rant, "you want to know why people all over the world hate America? He's why. People like Dennis Miller." Miller is a fearful, hateful, ignorant ass of a man who uses big words and drops elite names to impress stupid people. I was hoping he would see the writing on the wall, remember that nobody really thinks he's funny anymore and just fade away.
November 14th, 2008 at 11:56 amKeep in mind that so many of the tighty-righties are peeping toms. They are obsessed with other people's sex lives.

November 14th, 2008 at 12:39 pmDennis Miller, in all his pseudo-intellectual glory, just set humanity back a notch. Thanks for the visual, jackass! I'm gonna go throw up now...
Okay all better. Have to say, his comment is wrong on so many levels I can barely grasp them all at once. Dude's got problems, starting with his sno-mobile fetish and ending with his complete irrelevancy. From SNL and MNF to bit spots on O'reilly, the only guy who's dumber and crazier the he is. November 14th, 2008 at 12:57 pmDennis who? Really, this guy never even HAD his 15 minutes.
He thinks liberal women would hate Palin because she might have a good sex life. Did Miller swap brains with Ann Coulter? The mind that believes being Liberal means a woman doesn't have a great sex life is right up there with the mind that believes men who "strutt their stuff" do.
Palin is an insult to ALL women because she was picked as a token. Clearly she is uninformed and incompetent, not to mention incomprehensible. She needs to be seriously ignored.
