Yesterday, ThinkProgress noted that President Bush gave Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd a “frosty reception” at last weekend’s G20 summit perhaps because of a leak from Rudd’s office last month that revealed Bush didn’t know what the G20 was. The White House website showed photographs of Bush with all of the world leaders in attendance at the summit except for Rudd and one other leader. “The move appears to confirm a presidential snub of Mr Rudd over the leaking of a phone conversation he had with Mr Bush,” the Melbourne Herald Sun reported. But now, the White House appears to have acquiesced. Yesterday, there were 25 photos on the White House website. Today there are 26. The addition? A photo of Bush and Rudd:

Gee… I guess Botch doesn’t want to leave office w/ a reputation for being a whiny, petulant, vindictive failure…
‘Course, it’s gonna take more than one photo to change THAT perception, innit?
Snark/off…
November 18th, 2008 at 11:05 amHe’s such a petulant child.
November 18th, 2008 at 11:05 amSooooo… someone at the White House reads the blogs….
November 18th, 2008 at 11:06 amHmmm…I haven’t looked yet, but has Rudd put a picture of Bush up on HIS website?

Don’t worry. Bush will have Barney rout ‘em out and they’ll get fired right quick.

Yes, but I’d be willing to bet that the “someone” isn’t Dubya himself.

Perhaps one of Botch holding up a card w/ a row of numbers on it…
November 18th, 2008 at 11:10 amCompare the way Dinkledork snubs and holds childish grudges over perceived slights with the way President-elect Obama treats opponents.
November 18th, 2008 at 11:12 amHa, that photo must have been so painful for Bush. He’s spent most of his 8 years in office with John Howard supporting him all the way, and now he has to deal with a Labour government – poor guy.

I was thinking about this yesterday, watching Obama meet with John McCain. After the disdain, the childish grimacing and the immature behavior McCain displayed towards Barack Obama, Obama reachs out with integrity and wisdom.
I wonder if McCain is even conscious of his behavior. Do you think he might have apologized to Obama?
(I’m not even beginning to suggest Dufous Bush is aware of his behavior…)
November 18th, 2008 at 11:23 amIf your not a loyal Bushie like Howard was, your not his buddy. Howard got purged and Rudd’s not his buddy. This loyalty sh*t’s ready getting old and I can’t wait until Bush is gone in January.
November 18th, 2008 at 11:25 amAustralia has historically been a close USA ally.
John Howard’s demise was a direct result of his relationship with Bush.
We need to congratulate the Aussies on their good sense, admit Bush & Howard were two of a kind and move forward.
Bush & Howard can enjoy each others company in Paraguay…
November 18th, 2008 at 11:30 amBeing snubbed by Bush these days is a badge of honor. Maybe a day later the White House figured it would be more damaging to Rudd if they had a picture of him buddying up to the Chimp.
November 18th, 2008 at 11:33 am.
… But did they discuss the world’s collapsing economy?
.

People of America and the world, I, like you, can not wait until this ass-bastard is out of office and hopefully never heard from again.

November 18th, 2008 at 11:35 amShrubby probably didn’t even know who this guy was – they probably told him he was a big GOP donor!
November 18th, 2008 at 12:12 pmBush snubing… who cares. I live in Australia and I can say Australia existing and dog shiting in Bondi Beach is the same thing. A far away country fill with ignorant and xenophobic convicted decendents. Bush speaking and dog shiting is also the same thing…
November 18th, 2008 at 12:49 pmHow very nice, a little kissy-kissy action. No doubt Dubya’s next move will be a demand to build a new U..S. base somewhere in Australia in order to protect “freedom loving patriots”.
Hoo, Boy.
November 18th, 2008 at 1:37 pmIf one is known by the company they keep, why would Rudd or anyone else WANT to be in a picture with Bush? I’m surprised any of the other leaders were willing to be photographed with our war criminal in chief……
November 18th, 2008 at 1:44 pmI am full of regret and shame to be part of this self-indulgent deep in denial community known as the United States of America. We have allowed George W Bush to do whatever he wants with this country. We are on the brink of depression. We have allowed and supported a failed criminal war. Yet the idiot gets to go on doing as he pleases.
November 18th, 2008 at 1:47 pmThere is no turning back and the world will never be the same again. We choose to continue living in denial and let the idiot drag the world into depression. How can we be so stupid and dysfunctional? Don’t count on Obama to reverse this curse because at this point the damage is too advanced what is done is done and can’t be undone. We can always hope he can steer this nation in a better direction.
I thought Australia was a friend of ours on the War of Terror. (that’s not a typo).
How does one compare the significance and value of the Aussies standing with Bush on that vs. a comment that Bush should know what the G20 is (as Bush is on the G-8, kind of makes you think that the implication was just that the G20 is too far down the line of priorities for him).
