Also when we prosecuted OUR soldiers for being involved in it during Vietnam. The PENTAGON study said DIRECTLy that Islamc groups hate us for our POLICIES and that it is a blatantly self serving statemnt to say they hate us for our freedoms yet you tell us we are naive unless we understand they just hate us and it has nothing to do with what we do. Maybe I stated it incorrectly as any number in the military HAVE been subjected to waterboarding. Perhaps I mis-heard the interview and it is done voluntarily. All I know is that it IS used for training.

If they are not torture and they produce quality information and confessions of guilt, then would it not be a good idea to allow the police to use them on suspects? And, particularly, on those who are assosciated with suspects (though not suspects themselves)? That, by your claim, would be effective in stopping many crimes (to include many murders). Should not the police be able to use any or all of these methods on YOU if they beleive that you may have done something wrong or may have knowledge about someone who has done something wrong? We don’t even need to change other procedures, as you can be held without charges for 48 hours.

Perhaps you do feel that would be o.k.. If so, you are much more like Saddam and Bin Laden than a true American.

Once torture is decided upon, all who participate are tainted for life. That stain will not wash out.
