Rupert Murdoch’announced today that Fox News’s top executive, Roger Ailes, has signed a five year contract extension with News Corp. “Roger has done a remarkable job building FOX News into a force in journalism and built a great asset for News Corporation,” said Murdoch in a statement. Ailes said that he looks “forward to carrying out Mr. Murdoch’s legendary vision in the future.”

What can we say?? Unfair and imbalanced for five more years. If nothing else we’ll have lots of fodder for some great laughs as these morons dig themselves in deeper.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:40 pm“Roger has done a remarkable job building FOX News into a force in journalism”
Well, let’s not overstate things.
He’s certainly built it into a force in something. I’m just not sure journalism is it.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:43 pmYea, the hell with the accuracy and journalistic integrity of FuxNews, just as long as it’s profitable. Right Murdoch?
Scumsucking idiot.
PEACE
November 20th, 2008 at 6:43 pmAiles – the most opinionated, dishonest, smearing, dolt in any network. It would be so much more intesting if this jerk ever asked his “journalists” to actually research news items, to actually report the truth. Maybe some actual facts might be important?? We are all so sick of your lies, smears, & total lack of any honesty. Think about it, you liar (=twister of facts). Ailes & Co. = the most dishonest boors anywhere.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:45 pmThey are starting to ratchet up the slime machine – first beck and rush limbaugh were signed to HUGE contracts through 2012.
Now they have have a lying liar in place to direct the charade at faux news…
If you think that the noise machine was shrill and destructive when clinton was in office, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
I just hope Michelle Obama keeps Barack on a “tight leash” so that he doesn’t mistake some overweight intern for an ash tray.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:50 pm“Roger has done a remarkable job building FOX News into a propaganda station instead of journalism and built a dumbing down asset for News Entertainment,”
There, fixed it for them.
They are nothing more than smear and fear merchants, and have sold their souls to the devil.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:57 pmKeeping the world a safer place by keeping all the rats in one trap. Sounds like a winner to me.
November 20th, 2008 at 6:59 pmWhen will Ailes be holding his Vogon poetry reading?
November 20th, 2008 at 7:00 pmKeeping the world a safer place by keeping all the rats in one trap. Sounds like a winner to me.
You mean kind of like atrios – flypaper for morons? All the idiots blog over there so we can have a reasonable dialog over here?
November 20th, 2008 at 7:06 pmZooey – Vogon – Hehe :-)
November 20th, 2008 at 7:08 pmAnd I thought FOX specialized in opinionism and fiction. Who knew that was “journalism”? Might I suggest another name?
Conservative Roger’s Authoritarian Programming
CRAP
November 20th, 2008 at 7:13 pm“Roger has done a remarkable job building FOX News into a force in journalism and built a great asset for News Corporation,”
Three words which ought never, ever, ever be mentioned in the same sentence — FOX, NEWS and JOURNALISM.
Just saying . . .
November 20th, 2008 at 7:16 pmI clicked on this site and my cat was on my lap. She HISSED AND JUMPED AWAY….and my cat is a republican.
November 20th, 2008 at 7:24 pmSo Number 2 is still captain of the pirate ship Faux News? Good news. Then the captain can sink with the ship and the other hags and rats when the Nielsen fleet puts them at the bottom of the static sea!
Then the virgin king Rupert of Whorodia will be left with no other option, but suicide at the hands of newsprint.
November 20th, 2008 at 7:26 pmJust look at those chubby, beat up men. Somebody at home loves them, don’t ask me why.
November 20th, 2008 at 7:27 pmFox News chief Roger Ailes signs up for five more years.»
– - Roger “Beached” Ailes won’t last as long as his contract.
November 20th, 2008 at 7:37 pmJournalism does not come to mind when I see these thugs or hear about FAUX Noise.
November 20th, 2008 at 7:41 pmZooey Says:
When will Ailes be holding his Vogon poetry reading?
LOL
Yeah he does look like a Vogon, doesn’t he?
November 20th, 2008 at 7:42 pmVogon? Is that the Alien race from Hitch Hikers Guide to the Universe?
November 20th, 2008 at 8:08 pmLOL
November 20th, 2008 at 8:10 pmOne might make a considrable fortune selling RA’s jowls for suet.
November 20th, 2008 at 9:14 pmActually, Fox News is one of the few media companies that has any credibility at all these days. Surely none of you here think PMSMSNBC is involved in “journalism”, right?
GMAFB! Most of the MSM were TOTALLY in the tank for Obama. They didn’t even try to hide it this time!
Reading the posts here from most of you numb nutz is sure entertaining, though I do hear the crickets…
November 20th, 2008 at 9:33 pmYou folks should go here:
http://www.howobamagotelected.com
Then come back here and tell me about the great “journalism” of the MSM (Fox News excluded, of course)
November 20th, 2008 at 9:36 pmTimmeh Vacuuous still can’t get over the THUMPING that the repuglycans thoroughly deserved and got.
How about you go take some courses in political theory and come back and tell us how the democrats ’stole’ the election.
Loser.
November 20th, 2008 at 9:47 pmI will agree that Nox Fews is Falanced and Bair.
November 20th, 2008 at 9:48 pmRUCerious,
You must be looking in the mirror. You’ll never hear me whining like all the liberals after the 2000 and 2004 elections!
Besides, Obama didn’t have to steal it at all. He figured out how to get enough Americans to hand it to him, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
November 20th, 2008 at 10:04 pmRUCerious,
Speaking of fair and balanced, you might want to acknowledge the fact that a number of prominent DEMOCRATS agree that Fox News does present the news, particularly opposing viewpoints in a fair ana balanced fashion!
You do believe what your fellow Democrats say, right?
November 20th, 2008 at 10:06 pmbush dog democrats? no timmy – they need to be thrown out too.
November 20th, 2008 at 10:35 pmBillo is indeed fair and balanced.
He still yells at his guests who disagree with him and has the “Culture Quiz”. In primetime, I always want my news shows to have a segment with multiple guess questions into movie trivia on such riveting choices as “The Wizard of Oz”.
It’s those “wild swings” in the Nielsen ratings right and not Steve Doocy holding up his A, B, C or D cards on the softball questions? If shows like “The Factor” get any dumber, a neurologist will have to check to see if anyone working on it registers as having any brainwave activity.
November 20th, 2008 at 11:57 pmHey timmy, did you know President Obama popular votes keep growing larger and larger?
mcmummy didn’t have a chance.
look at your chimpy getting dissed by the world. It’s beautiful.
November 20th, 2008 at 11:59 pmTin Tim is super mad because his media couldn’t sway the voters on the key arguments and he can’t find a lucid defense other than to blame the other “MSM’ers” for doing their jobs when McCain decided to try to hide Sarah Palin behind a glass barrier.
What Tin Tim doesn’t know is Faux News is mainstream, even though they try to dissuade that notion. If you try to be a news organization (even though sometimes it looks like a GOP infomercial), you can’t try to go all outsider and then bark and harp about ratings and guests. Even though Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity are clowns, they still get newsmakers on their shows.
If the ratings fall, it’s not because of wild anomalies in the ratings. It’s just that the shows on Faux News have lost their audience with the same shill views that have sunk the GOP.
November 21st, 2008 at 1:00 amFor those that are of the wacko far neo right wing with much wealth and nothing to do.
You sign up at that age to support the Third Reich.
November 21st, 2008 at 2:35 amThat photo says it all.
But look – surely a few other outfits need some attention. WorldNetDaily, for instance, is an incredibly toxic cocktail of lies, half-truths, misrepresentations, out-of-context tales chosen for their agitational effect, etc. I always find it hard not to lampoon Aaron Klein, in particular, who claims to have a whole host of anonymous Arab informants who obligingly tell him things along the general lines of “we are ready to flood downtown Tel Aviv with nerve gas as soon as Comrade Mashaal gives the word.”
November 21st, 2008 at 2:43 amTimmeh says:
“You must be looking in the mirror. You’ll never hear me whining like all the liberals after the 2000 and 2004 elections!”
That’s right assclowns such as yourself resort to fifth grade comments like “you must be looking in a mirror” and to writing cowardly assed racially charged death threats against the president elect on walls, and teach your children to chant “assasinate obama” on the bus during school fieldtrips.
November 21st, 2008 at 5:58 amOhhh shit, weare gonna need the extra strong rope to hang that fat fcuk.
November 21st, 2008 at 8:57 amObama should have the FCC pull Fox’s broadcast license for lying on the air.
November 21st, 2008 at 8:58 amPeriod
Hey Timmeh,
November 21st, 2008 at 9:08 amWhy are you so willing to have your AMERICAN news fed to you be an illegal immigrant? Murcock is an Autralian.
Murcock already looks like he was hanged, so we should just go ahead and bury him.
From network…

Posters hurling ad hominems about unattractive people have nothing worthwhile to say and lack as much credibility as Fox News.
That being said, those two guys are sure ugly and scary.
