Be careful what General is talking. Those who work for the Bush Administration will say what ever the White House tells them to say as General Petraeus does. Even the FBI has gotten in on the scare game by speading the fear of Al Aeada bombing NY again. These guys tried that to help McCain/Palin and it didn’t work. Most of the Generals are made they wont get their kick backs for lying to the American people and the troops.

We have blundered badly in Afghanistan and Pakistan, having put all of our eggs in the Iraq basket. Our collusion with the former military dictator Musharraf has made it more difficult for America to work with the new leadership in Pakistan and to work with the Pakistanis to clean up the Taliban and Al Qaeda strongholds in the NWFP and other places along the Afghan border.

WHY IS PAKISTAN CONSIDERED OUR ALLY OF TWAT?

America went into Afghanistan and al-CIA-duh ran into Pakistan. So America attacked Iraq?
Then, America blew up Iraq and al-CIA-duh tried to move back into Afghanistan, so America pushed them back into Pakistan with the assurances of Pakistan that Pakistan will keep al-CIA-duh safe?
Now, America, under Obama, will focus our forces on Afghanistan so as to keep al-CIA-dua focused on Pakistan?

There is no evidence, none, that al-Qaeda ever considered Iraq the “central front” of their war. But Bush seemed to think it was, the same way he thought Saddam had WMDs and ties to bin Laden.
