The duty to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” is listed in Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution. Executive Orders do have a place in government, in providing the detailed orders from the President to the heads of the Executive Branch agencies as to how the laws will be faithfully executed. They can not and should not be used to overwrite laws passed by Congress – only to decide how exactly each affected agency is to enforce the laws passed by Congress.

And while they are at it, do away with the ability to make "Executive Orders". Then take away the Fed's ability to spend our tax dollars without the consent of Congress.
