VA GOP chair refuses to apologize for comparing Obama to bin Laden.
In October, Virginia GOP Chairman Jeff Frederick compared Barack Obama to Osama bin Laden, telling an audience that they “both have friends that bombed the Pentagon.” Before a panel of Associated Press newspaper editors Tuesday, Frederick said his comment was stupid but he refused to apologize for it. He called it “a stupid joke” but also added that “what I said was true.”

December 2nd, 2008 at 1:26 pmhe stood by his comment Tuesday, defending it as true and saying he was only taking his cues from Republican John McCain’s campaign after running mate Sarah Palin had said at her rallies that Obama had been “palling around with terrorists.”
“The McCain campaign, for quite a while, was getting on me about not being on message, about not delivering their talking points. And in an effort to do more of what they wanted … I was doing that, and they Ayers talking point came out,” Frederick said.
So you see? It’s not HIS fault! He was just being a loyal GOP’er. That’s what they do. Lie, falsely accuse and then refuse to ever admit you were wrong.

There is a hint of truth in Frederick’s words…if you go under the assumption (a bit of a stretch) that both are “friends” of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

Having said that, I find it facinating that he can say it was a “stupid joke” and “what I said was true” all in the same breath. Doesn’t anyone in the GOP know the difference between a “joke” and “what is true”?

Member GOP travelers, Daddy Bush and even Connie Rice were told not to fly on 9/11 why? A normal working day at the WTC yet Jews stayed home why? Bin Laden said he didn’t know about the attack but was proud why? Saudi’s quickly flew home without anyone being question even knowing that most of the attackers were Saudis why? All these and more will be answered. As we now know the Bush Administration is currently funding terrorist to keep conflict going. Did the Bush Administration fund the current terrorist group who bombed India. Even a Law Maker has been charged with funding terrorist group but the Govenment is hiding his case and the information. Congressman Jefferson was caught with money in the freezer to keep his mouth shut about the money given to the African terrorist group. Even Speaker Dennis Hastert quickly steppped in to protect Jefferson who didn’t know he was being used by the GOP. Americans will wake up to the honest truth the Bush Administration has been funding new groups of terrorist and using taxpayers money to do it. For 8 years the United States has been the greates Axis of Evil under the Bush Administration. Smart move on their part all they had to do was tell Americans God wanted Bush to be President and everyone just fell in line.
