Do you not read the comments that come from readers of this blog? I commented twice on your post regarding Huckabee’s comments about gays, and I requested a correction from TP. I have received no response. Even if you refuse to issue a correction, this is a blog, you could at least address the request with an argument, rather than silence.

I’d say that 45% figure has a very close correlation to the amount of unpleasant and unflattering-to-the-estalishment truths posted by those online journalists…

Again, I think of Bernie Ward one of the finest radio talk show hosts, expecially on issues of health care, who is doing time for 7 years, while others, 99 of them, online caught doing the same crime are ignored. And to make matters worse, Bernie has been transferred to a Beaumont Tx prison, a region furthest away from progressive radio – not to mention his family and friends.

Exchanging child porn images is disgusting, but from disgust the unfairness should not be ignored nor should the subject be avoided from fear of being viewed labeled in that light.

Bernie faced heavy fines and 25 years of prison if he chose a trial … a trial where he could tell his side of the story as he wanted to. Until I hear it from him, I can not judge.

Print journalism has become ossified and professionalized as parts of large commercial conglomerates. Intrepid or muckraking print reporters are the rare exception.
