George W. Bush cannot be gone soon enough, so that this articulate, intelligent, and humble man can become our leader. It will be so refreshing to live in a country government by reason.
Great! We can hear from the “Defacto” President as to his plans for reviving our country.
It would be nice, though, if the current lame duck that is occupying the Oval Office would start to move out as he has already shifted into neutral and is coasting to the end.
My dad alway said “Your either part of the solution, or part of the problem.” Well, Bush who should have been impeached has always been part of the problem.

Absolutely agree! GDumbya interrupted his “happy hour” this morning and just finished making comments about how concerned he is about the economy and how confident he is that the right things are being done. Why, at this late date, does he expect us to believe that he has reversed course by being concerned about anything or that he is doing anything right? What a total imbecile!
Obama is in a difficult position between now and January 20. He can’t be overly-assertive or he will end up looking like he “owns” some of GDumbya’s decisions. He can’t be too impassive or things will happen that will make the bad situation he will inherit on January 20 even worse.
I wish GDumbya would do the right thing and just resign early. His head has never been in the job and he is now more disinterested than ever and just marking time.
He’s got his work cut out for him, todays headlines:
Employers cut 533K jobs in Nov., most in 34 years (AP)
AP – Skittish employers slashed 533,000 jobs in November, the most in 34 years, catapulting the unemployment rate to 6.7 percent, dramatic proof the country is careening deeper into recession.
Stocks tumble after dismal jobs report (AP)
Home loan troubles break records again (AP)
AP IMPACT: Some bailout holdings down $9 billion (AP)
You guys who want to be benevolent towards palen et al need to keep up with what these people have done to us.
Alright, then- for once an actual reason to watch Press The Meat.
Will the questioning be scintillating, gushy, or just stupid & passive/aggressive as per usual when a Democrat’s on? Guess MTP might have to watch it now that BO is Pres-Elect. Or maybe not.
Stoking & poking of the Hillary/Barack imagined future feud will undoubtedly be in the pile of “who goves a rat’s patoot” questions to look forward to.
This may be a good news to the stock market. Has anyone noticed that every time PE Obie has a news conference, the stock market has gone up? Albeit this is not a news conference, his appearance may calm things down a little amidst the recent announcement of 500K of new unemployment.

GOOD GOD, NOOO!!! THEN CHENEY WILL BE IN CHARGE!!! (Or at least more than he already has been.)
Well said, unbelievable.
We must be on guard however, that the righties don’t undermine him at every opportunity for no other reason than to cause him failure, so they can take over again in 4 years claiming he was ineffective. The rightwing media bigmouths will leap at everything they can twist in their favor.
Obama, so far, and to his great credit, has moved with leadership and pragmatism, choosing the best and the brightest to aid him in his decisions.
But we can never stop checking the rightwingers and their nefarious plans.
Gawd, I couldn’t take Russert; I am very disappointed in Brokaw, and to think of David Gregory (Rove’s dancing partner) in the seat is demoralizing. I’d rather see a round table every week than DG as host.
Why didn’t MTP take someone from the print media? Because they are not pretty boys? Because they may have a journalism background and see the news through that prism?

December 5th, 2008 at 12:36 pmBrokaw going to fawn all over Obama like he did with Laura Bush?
He did not ask her one hard question. Worse interview with the first lady I ever saw.
He is a Boring Republican sycophant – hardly neutral.
Tim is rolling in his grave.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:10 pmI’ll have to watch it this Sunday. I haven’t been able to watch MTP for years — without throwing something.
