He was enterprising — using the U.S. government to expend and sacrifice for private profits, which you know will be funneled to Bush/Cheney/Rummy.

It’s always fascinating to watch the Right fabricate their Bizarro World version of reality, in which the Right is always Right and the left is always wrong. The think tanks cook the stats for them, the media makes up the news for them, and the winger troops repeat the memes endlessly. In this way, a delusional reality is constructed.

Quick example: Reaganomics was supposed to pay off the deficit. Faced with such a breathtaking failure, normal people would be ashamed and abashed. Republicans, by contrast, have forgotten all about the utter failure of their policies. They even prattle on about how Reagan (whose administration was charged with more crimes than the cumulative total of all other Presidents of the twentieth century) was a great President.

You’ve gotta love these guys. We’ll soon be hearing about what a great President George W. Bush was, and how everything that went wrong during his administration (i.e. everything) was the Democrats’ fault. I think parts of their brains are missing.

Completely off topic, but Jon Stewart just slaughtered Huckabee on gay marriage. I am not sure I have heard a better rationale for gay marriage than what JS just offered.
