30 percent of CT voters who voted for Lieberman want a do-over.

A new Quinnipiac poll released today shows that only 38 percent of Connecticut citizens approve of Sen. Joe Lieberman’s (I-CT) performance, with 54 percent — and 75 percent of Democrats — disapproving. (By comparison, in July 45 percent approved and 43 disapproved.) Thirty percent of the people who voted for Lieberman in 2006 say they would vote for someone else if they could do it again today, including 59 percent of Democrats. Another poll from last month showed that 48 percent of likely Connecticut voters want to replace Lieberman.

    DO over?

Hell, those 30% should be in hiding or too embarrassed to admit they ever voted for Fudd.

  2. raynman says:

I hope your descent into the dark side was worth it, Joe.

  3. lokidog says:

Then again, I voted for Blagojevich.

    So much for lecturing…

But WAIT! I admit I’m an idiot! Does that count for anything?

All right, I’ll just STFU instead of digging myself in further.

  4. Leftside Annie says:

A little slow on the uptake, ain’tcha, CT…?

  5. Jackie says:

They might get their wish. When Eric Holder starts the investigation of the crimes that have taken place over the pass 8 years I’m sure Joe Lieberman’s name will come up. The Ethics Department wont be needed to glaze over these crimes. I’m sure the voters of Ct. are reading up on Laws that can removed an elected official.

  6. Keith H. says:

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’d throw my shoe at him.

  7. scytherius says:

A do over? It was obvious Joe was like this back then. Joke’s on you CT.

  8. alphainfinityomega says:

    NOW they tell us.
We’ll just have to wait and see what the do in 2012. :(

  9. Buckie Boy says:

Buh bye, Joe Smoe in 2010.

  10. Zooey says:

Connecticut, you knew knew what Lieberman was when you voted to let him keep his Senate seat.

    Quitcherb!tchin!

  11. Buckie Boy says:

oh, wait, 2012, that is much to long to wait.

  12. DNFP says:

‘Regret’ is a dish best served as desert, an a very full stomach.

Don’t the “internets” reach all the way to CT yet?

    Methinks not.

  13. MapleStreet says:

Hate to say it, but what did they expect when Lieberman ran as an independent ?

  14. Bob says:

Why waste a do-over on a lowly Senator?

  15. po says:

Whatever . . . you usually don’t get do-overs in elections that’s why you should try and do it right the first time. EVERYONE knew Lieberman was a loser, a turncoat, a GOP-lite, but they voted for him anyway. Thanks for nothing.

  16. Fred says:

If they wanted it badly enough they would be passing petitions. LIEberman could be recalled.

  17. Zooey says:

    Fred,

I don’t think a Senator can be recalled. If I remember correctly, Senators are under Federal jurisdiction, not state jurisdiction.

  18. WaltTheMan says:

It is possible to recall a US Senator in 18 states. Unfortunately, CT is not one of them.

  19. RUCerious says:

    CTers, there’s a thingy called a recall.
    Please exercise it.

  20. Zimzone says:

The Dems should never have allowed him to continue his Chairship.

Tiptoeing around issues like that so ‘you don’t look bad’ is not leadership. In fact, it projects fear of doing the right thing.

Grow some balls for the holidays, Dems. And pin them on Sloppy Joe.

  21. RUCerious says:

Crap, read Walt first, then recant…

  22. Fred says:

Zooey, of course it couldn’t be that easy and I doubt if the will is there anyway…….

I protest every time I hear his name though.

  23. Bozo The Neoclown says:

yes, and that 30% are the assclowns in fairfield county who have lost their cush trading jobs on wall street those in wethersfield who got their asses handed to them when the bottom fell out of the real estate market thanks to bush-leg-humpin’ lieberman and their disasterous financial free for all. i, on the other hand voted for ned lamont.

  24. curious says:

Such a small amount that want a new Senator. One who has no loyalty or constancy in his ideology. How much time does he have to re-build his image for the gullible back home?

I hope he gets the boot. You never can trust this man again.

  25. Laszlo Panaflex says:

The people of Connecticut must have slept through 2006. Buyer’s remorse is more compelling when the defects in the product weren’t glaringly obvious when one purchased.
