At White House Christmas party, Bush joked about ‘conspiring’ with Fox News chief Roger Ailes.

On his radio show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh described his experience at the White House Christmas party the night before, which he called “a thrilling evening.” Limbaugh recounted “a funny little story” about waiting in the President’s receiving line with Fox News chairman Roger Ailes where Bush joked about “conspiring” with Ailes:

Ailes walks up to the president and Mrs. Bush, and the president opens his arm, “Well, look who’s here,” and they start chatting and talking and so forth, and after a while I finally shouted, “Hey, can we move this line on, please?” And Bush turned around and had a smile on his face and said, “Quiet, Limbaugh, Ailes and I are conspiring.”

Listen here:

Though Bush was clearly joking at the party, Ailes has attempted to “conspire” with the President before. Soon after 9/11, according to Bob Woodward, Ailes sent a “back-channel message” to President Bush, suggesting that he needed to take “the harshest measures possible” in retaliation for the terrorist attacks. He added that “support” for war “would dissipate if the public did not see Bush acting harshly.”

Three Scrooges yuk it up at a Christmas party? Did they toss any pennies to the Matchstick Girl?

Oh, that’s right, the Prosperity Gospel says she deserved to freeze to death.

Did George say, “Merry Christmas to all CEOs, and Happy Corporafornicating in the New Year!”

For Bush, the truth has always been a joke.

    Just in time for Christmas.

So these are the GOP braintrust. A drug addict, an alcoholic and a business man who thinks “Citizen Cane” is a “How To” book. Disgraceful and repugnant. Thankfully it will be a long time before they darken the halls of Our House again. Merry Christmas shitheads!

Bush is happy and the Joke is oon the American people and the World. Look the plan worked very well and he did a great job for his cronies. We watched the plan unfold as it started with the attack on Bill Clinton. Yes once they saw it worked to well as Americans brought the bull about sin and the GOP used God it was clear sailing from there on. Cheney settled in with work on Halliburton and other US contractors. Doing business with Iran and Syria while the Media reported them terrorist. Every cronie of the GOP made big money by stealing from all over the World. But people got greedy and out of hand. Now it’s time to close up shop and take as much as you can before Obama/Biden take office.
The Joke is Americans are paying for all this and so will generations to come. The real winners will be shown in a few years and it will wipe the small off the GOP/Business/Bush Administration’s face. Yes the Middle East are the real winners as they played the players like a piano and are smiling all the way to the bank.

Humph! Was this the Christmas Party that Elizabeth Hasselbeck threw a hissy fit over (on “The View”) because she didn’t get an invitation to it (after all she had “done” for the Republican Party)?

Sounds more like it was a convention for the dregs of Republican “Society” and not a time to celebrate.

  12. leftzone says:

Gawd, that sounds like the suckiest party ever, I wouldn’t even had to have gotten drunk to throw up…

  13. PatrioticLiberalChristian says:

Unless there were a number of progressive or at least neutral radio and TV personalities there (Keith Olberman, for example) then I’d say this joke is a reality and NOT funny.

    “Liberal media”?????

  14. Roket says:

No doubt they’re all conspiring on where the hell they’re going to hide once the crackdown begins. Out of mind, out of sight, or something.

So then, one of georgie’s chief advisers on how to go about getting the U.S. into the invasion of Iraq, was a fox news chief.
That must have been the time he heard his gawd talking to him.

Nice thought, but wishful thinking; this is Obama coming in, heck, he will probably have them in for Xmas next year.

  20. Nevar says:

I don’t even want to guess who was in line behind Limpwad on such a thrilling evening.

I wouldn’t be caught dead at a Bush White House Christmas party but I sure would like to be present for the exorcism/spiritual cleansing party that should be done prior to January 20.

    /conservatives aren’t funny, they’re just mean-spirited

    “HE’S DRINKING AGAIN!”

Didn’t Laura tell him “It’s Jim Beam or me.”?

I re-watched a movie I hadn’t seen in some time last night: Oliver Stone’s Talk Radio. Gee, why can’t we simply replace Barry Champlaign with Rush Limbaugh at the film’s conclusion?!

  23. MapleStreet says:

Ignoring the idea of truth being told in humor, I’d like to ask about the mix of reporters at the WH party ?

We know Ailes was there. We know Limbaugh was there. Is there some reason that they would have been there and other reporters weren’t ?

there were no ‘news’ people there, only sycophants, toadies, boot-lickers and prostate-strokers who’ve learned to love the taste of shit…

Oh, and lest i forget to mention it: Limbaugh is a such a phuquing lout!

  25. Art says:

Limbaugh must have wanted to get to the buffet line.

  26. Bozo The Neoclown says:

i hope lushy enjoyed the event since after what his tin idol did to this country it will be a long, long, long time before repukeliscums like him and hasselbeck attend another christmas party there.

I hope the Obamas have a Reiki Master smudge the White House before they move in. Bush will be leaving some really foul air and negativity in the White House and this will need to cleaned out.
