Today, NBC’s Ann Curry aired a new portion of her recent interview with pastor Rick Warren, whom President-elect Obama selected to deliver the invocation at his inauguration. During the interview, Warren said that “it doesn’t matter” whether or not homosexuality is “part of your biology”; it’s still wrong. Attempting to explain himself, he compared accepting one’s homosexuality to being “naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.” Resisting homosexuality is about “maturity,” he concluded:
CURRY: If science finds that this is biological, indisputably…would you change your position?
WARREN: No. … We all have biological predispositions. … You say because I have natural impulses to the same sex, I shouldn’t have to reign them in. Well I disagree. I think that’s part of maturity, I think that’s part of delayed gratification, I think that’s part of character.
Watch it:
You only get to say that if you practice lifelong celibacy. And if you practice lifelong celibacy, I’m probably not going to listen to you anyway.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:46 amUnbelievable. This man is a shameless homophobe and Obama would be wise to rescind his offer to be a part of the inauguration.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:47 amBut hell as a better chance of dropping 10 degrees.
Whoops! Looks like Parodyll the Failures belief of deprogramming didn’t quite work with Haggard.
thought I’d post this before bitblt the idjit ruins the thread.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:47 amHe’s not a man of God. His bigotry is getting in the way of tolerance.
Also, since President-ELECT Obama is in kumbaya mode, he should embrace Rev. Wright.
It appears President-ELECT Obama is appeasing white people a little too much. He is going overboard.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:47 am“Warren: Gay people are immature.”
– - Warren’s “facts” about the history of marriage are equally wrong-headed. That hole is getting deeper Rick, so keep digging. Make it easy for Obama to change his mind.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:47 amBAD FCUKING IDEA OBAMA CAMP.
BAD FCUKING IDEA.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:48 amWhen did this closet case decide not to be gay?
December 19th, 2008 at 10:48 amAttempting to explain himself, he compared accepting one’s homosexuality to being “naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.”
Well, then let them get married!
December 19th, 2008 at 10:49 amI don’t even understand the correlation here. How do you compare a relationship with someone (of any sex) to what he is essentially describing as being lustful toward them?
That’s not the same thing.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:50 amRick Warren’s invitation to speak at the inauguration is the first, clearly identifiable “Screw You” to his supporters on the ‘left.’
It won’t be the last…
December 19th, 2008 at 10:51 amRick Warren deals with large congregations of people who have a predisposition towards immaturity.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:54 amIn that context, he may only recognize immaturity, whether it be hetero or homo sexuality.
He seems to see life as a continual conflict of good and evil, and may not realize there is a level of maturity beyond that stage of spiritual evolution.
Grow up, Ricky.
Warren is the immature one here. He so obviously has no idea what he is talking about, and seems to like creating straw men. Gay people don’t want to have sex with every person they see; it is part of yet another lie that all gay people are promiscuous. And Warren likes to repeat that as well, apparently. But real gay people know the difference, and real gay people most likely have the experience to know that straight relationships are not for them.
Besides, given all the societal pressures to NOT be gay, it is obvious that it isn’t some temptation trap. A lot of gay people acknowledge fighting their feelings for years. It takes a truly mature person to acknowledge those feelings and stop lying to themselves and to do so in the face of people like Warren or worse. This guy has no clue.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:55 amHowever,
Upon 2nd or 3rd thought, bringing bigoted idiots into the spotlight might help increase support for those whom the bigots are attempting to keep down.
This ain’t your daddy’s U.S. of A.
Stay tuned, the “national conversation” on this is far from over.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:57 amKeep talking bigot. Maybe you can convince the Obama people what we all know. That you are an unthinking, hateful person.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:57 amThe expression on Ann Curry’s face during most of this clip is priceless — sort of a “who is this crazy man and why am I talking to him” look.
December 19th, 2008 at 10:58 amWell said, Nevar.
Christofascists’ maturity is in question on many issues, including investing you entire adult life believing in a fantasy.
When the World sees religion for what it is, we’ll all be better off
December 19th, 2008 at 10:59 amHe says he has a “biological disposition” “to have sex with every woman [he] sees” and he thinks it is natural for him to pick one. Gay people have a “biological disposition” for same sex attraction and yet he says it is unnatural for them.
What is the difference?
December 19th, 2008 at 11:00 amI must say I find it hilarious that a Christian preacher would call anyone immature. This guy goes into a church and talks about his messiah, dead for 2000 years, born in an immaculate conception in a manger, later he turned water into wine, and walked on water! No really. And, he rose from the dead! But, these beliefs are “faith” not an immature attempt to rail at the darkness by clinging to mysticism and superstition.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:00 amerhh… i kinda agree w/ him. with the whole ‘im naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful women i see’ but i don’t because its not good for society… and the whole maturity and delayed gratification thing, who knows, this is just my opinion.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:01 amI like the raised eyebrow when he says “I’m naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.”
Hopefully she has security on the set!
December 19th, 2008 at 11:03 amYes, horn-dogged horniness is a sign of immaturity.
Whether you’re gay or straight.
What’s Warren’s excuse for choosing women over men?
December 19th, 2008 at 11:03 amFear of people different than yourself is pretty damn immature too.
And, just in the interest of being gratuitously mean; Does anyone really believe that this guy practices the “delayed gratification” that he preaches?
Unless he has a glandular disorder, his double chin, which he fails to hide behind that weak goatee, tells me that Warren doesn’t delay gratification when it comes to second helpings.
I’m sorry if that sounds mean but at least I’m not in favor of a proposition that would ban Warren’s freedom to eat whatever he wants.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:05 amSo, it is “mature” for gay and lesbian people to suppress their natural sexual orientation?
Look, I see lots of beautiful men everywhere I go, but that doesn’t mean that my life is consumed with lusting after them and focusing only on base sexual urges.
This is still no argument against same-sex marriage! All Warren is doing here is cementing the evidence against him. Clearly, Warren is a homophobe and a bigot. No amount of niceness, smiling, etc. will change that. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…. it is a duck.
Please, please, please drop Warren, President-elect Obama!!!
December 19th, 2008 at 11:05 amSo…Fear, Anger and Shyness are now something we are biologically predisposed to?
His level of cognitive disconnect is off the charts. His examples of the gays he’s spoken with all expressed the “urge” to have multiple partners. Did they say they had multiple partners, or just struggled with the “urges”? Wasn’t it a mature response on their part that they were engaging in a dialog about it, rather than just acting on it?
Not to overstate the obvious, but there seems to be quite a track record of members of Congress not being able to act “maturely” in response to their urges…Vitter, McCain, et al.
And, ewwww…I feel for the beautiful women that he is lusting after – sorry for this folks, but imagine that grunting on top of you.
(shudder. hurl.)
December 19th, 2008 at 11:05 amIt seems Warren’s dogma of blame has served him well all these years. It’s bible over science and common sense everytime, 24/7.
How can a book written by a bunch of people 2000 years ago have any clue into life in the 21th century?
December 19th, 2008 at 11:06 amWant immature?
What about “naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.”
Couldn’t his point have been made without my bolded adjective?
December 19th, 2008 at 11:07 amI mean, do plain women not rate for his holiness?
Pffft!
“I think that’s part of maturity, I think that’s part of delayed gratification, I think that’s part of character.”
Does he honestly think that all gay people cannot control their sexual urges and are just aching to have sex out in public? Does he have any sexual urges? Does that make him immature or lack character?
December 19th, 2008 at 11:08 amOr is he immature and lack character for other reasons?
His biological predisposition is to be a big fat bigot.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:10 amMy father was a bit homophobic (until two nephews were outed) and he once said one of the things that bothered him was the supposed promiscuity of gay men. To which I replied, “It’s not because they are gay, it’s because they are men”. Promiscuity among men of either orientation has been pretty common throughout history. Straights certainly haven’t been models of restraint.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:10 amYou know, I keep saying the same thing about Deaf people.
Seriously! Look at them – all babbling on in their “sign language” and whining about “closed captioned” this and “open captioned” that, expecting us normal people to just accept their “alternate communication-style.”
They’re SO friggin IMMATURE! I mean, GROW UP, DEAFFO’S! You’re not hearing-impaired, you’re just not trying hard enough!
December 19th, 2008 at 11:11 amFor Warren to state he is “naturally inclined to want to have sex with every beautiful woman he sees” is perhaps the most glaring example of his own immaturity.
With true maturity comes an appreciation for beauty, and a desire to find the underlying beauty that may be hidden by a less than perfect (as defined by Madison Avenue) physical exterior.
I can appreciate beauty without wanting to becoming intimately involved with it. This is an attitude of maturity.
If Rick Warren has to do battle with his base chakras every time a beautiful women comes into his field of view, it wouldn’t seem he has a lot of mental capacity for truly spiritual pursuits.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:11 amRick Warren and Fred Phelps are cut from the same ugly piece of cloth.
And they can BOTH drop dead.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:14 amThis just in: ‘Man of God’ doesn’t approve of the gays…
Inviting practically ANYONE to give the invocation could lead to a whole lot of crazy being opened up. It’s garunteed if they’re a ‘famous pastor’.
Warren’s not a progressive by any rational measure, but he’s no Falwell or Hagee either.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:14 amOh yeah, and Im only cutting Father Saddleback a break because he’s only delivering the invocation… The invocation isn’t a magical rite that will wipe out all th gays, sinners, and assorted other heathens.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:15 amWarren’s “analogy” fails (it’s a good think Jesus was better at this than you, Rick!) because he is talking about heterosexuals moderating their sexual urges while demanding that homosexuals eliminate both their sexual urges and their wanting a loving relationship. One of the Biblical verses used against homosexuality says that people practicing homosexuality “gave up” their natural instincts, thus it is about heterosexuals acting as homosexuals. No one should have to choose to give up their biological, genetic, God-given love.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:17 amAttempting to explain himself, he compared accepting one’s homosexuality to being “naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.”
____________________________________________________________
And here we have another ignoramus who believes that homosexuals are all sex fiends.
Homosexuals are like heterosexuals when it comes to sex. There are those who are preoccupied with sex, there are those who have very little sex drive, and there are all those who fall somewhere on the scale between the two extremes. There are those who engage in sex irresponsibly, and those whose sex lives are more responsible.
The only difference between gays and straights when it comes to sex is that straights are attracted to members of the opposite sex, and gays are attracted to members of the same sex.
Or perhaps Warren believes that ANY sex drive is a mark of immaturity, and that to be truly mature one must practice celibacy? Nah — I don’t think that’s what he meant. I think he intended to propagate a myth about gays, and he may even believe this BS himself.
Most of us have some kind of sex drive, and to experience lustful feelings is part of the way we’re hardwired — that in itself has nothing to do with maturity (although it might have to do with age). Conducting one’s sex life in a responsible manner is a mark of maturity, no matter what one’s sexual orientation is.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:19 amAnd “maturity” is also marked by how you choose to treat your fellow man. Oppression of those who are different from you in any way, forcing them by the power of your majority status to conform to your way of being, is certainly not “mature”.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:24 amDRxJ,
Thanks for the link on Ted Haggard. I loved that last line:
“At this stage in my life, I am a loser,” he says.
Yup, you sure are, Ted. But don’t make the mistake of thinking this is a new stage in your life.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:25 amI suppose it may help us to remember that the bulk of Warren’s ministry may be directed to the dumbed down TV generations who have been assaulted through media advertising with the notion that sex is the ultimate goal, or at least the means to achieve other goals, such as wealth and power.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:25 amI’d say anyone who stuffs his face until he becomes a disgusting tub of lard like Warren is fairly immature, but I’m not going to try to make a religion out of that.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:25 amOK, lemme get this straight.
In WarrenWorld, homosexuals are “immature”.
So therefore, when they want to do something “mature” — such as commit to a monogamous relationship with the same person for life — it should be illegal for them to do so.
Doesn’t make sense to me — but then, I’m not a resident of WarrenWorld.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:26 amWhat an arrogant pig, presuming all he has to do is snap his fingers and “any beautiful woman” would immediately drop her panties for him.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:27 amGosh, I never knew I was sooo immature. I guess the loving relationship I’ve had with one person for the last three years is a sign of my instability. But I agree that he should just keep talking…as Anne Baxter said to Judith Anderson in The Ten Commandments – “Watch out, Memnet – your tongue will dig your grave.”
December 19th, 2008 at 11:28 amSo reining in my natural impulses toward the opposite sex is part of maturity.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:31 amDammit, I knew I was never going to grow up.
And another thing. This whole issue of homosexuality being a stage that people get ’stuck’ in between puberty and ‘adult’ relationships — i.e. Heterosexual relationship — is just nonsense. Now that The Netherlands, Spain and South Africa (South Africa of all places!) have same sex marriage, why aren’t they burning in the pits of hell for their blasphemy? The world didn’t end for them. I’m taking the tack that Obama was just stupid in inviting this guy. If it’s an attempt at ‘triangulation’…well we all know how well THAT worked out, don’t we?
December 19th, 2008 at 11:32 amWarren is exposing his baptist upbringing and his fundamental bullheadedness. I have one question about this that is biblical for the fundies: What would Jesus Do? Would he discriminate? Would he find differences in his creations to treat those he doesn’t necessarily approve of differently? Me thinks Rick is wrong and he is too immature to admit it.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:36 amAnd another thing, Ricky, get rid of that repulsive facial hair style.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:39 amyeah, being gay is all about banging dudes in 1 night stands soley for sexual gratification. i guess thats why they want to get married so badly.
great pick obama!
December 19th, 2008 at 11:39 ambush squelched every point of view that differed from his own.
Obama allows all points of view…..with this opportunity to discuss the differences……
seems like change to me.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:45 amI keep forgeting the an@lysis-gets-moderated rule!:
Warren’s “an@logy” fails (it’s a good think Jesus was better at this than you, Rick!) because he is talking about heterosexuals moderating their sexual urges while demanding that homosexuals eliminate both their sexual urges and their wanting a loving relationship. One of the Biblical verses used against homosexuality says that people practicing homosexuality “gave up” their natural instincts, thus it is about heterosexuals acting as homosexuals. No one should have to choose to give up their biological, genetic, God-given love.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:51 amI like to remind people, from time to time, that this is about the intellectual dishonesty associated with efforts to posit that that the bible is infallible.
Critical thinkers start with a hypothesis and form conclusions based upon the evidence.
Fundamentalists want us to form evidence based upon a preordained conclusion.
Warren is just another Pat Robertson in a tacky, loud shirt.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:56 amMiddle school boys are obsessed with homosexuality. Middle school boys are also very immature. Thus to me it seems those that obsess about homosexuality rather than just going about their business and leaving others alone are probably the ones that need to grwo up a “bit”. I suppose old Rick was one of those “real men” that was also obsessed with “ball tapping” other boys in high school to show how not gay he was…
December 19th, 2008 at 12:06 pmAttempting to explain himself, he compared accepting one’s homosexuality to being “naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.”
Well, now. Warren has just admitted that in the eyes of his Jesus he is a sinful adulterer:
Matthew 5:28 – But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
If, Mr. Warren, this is a natural inclination, then your religion condemns every single human being as an adulterer (and thus subject to the punishment therefore: HELL, I think it is). This is not to be confused with Genesis’ “Original Sin”, which has nothing to do with adultery, nor gays (Original Sin, conflated often with “sex” is actually a matter of disobedience. Sex has nothing to do with it). But that is obviously not the implication: it is that lusting after anyone you see (beautiful or not) is a matter of choice, not natural inclination. Mr. Warren, you obviously choose to be a wanton adulterer in the eyes of your Jesus, and proudly so.
Bigots need to justify their bigotry, and a great many will insist that they are not bigots, because they have justified their bigotry to the degree that they believe that there are “good reasons” for what they think — and those good reasons absolve them from being bigots. e.g.: “Gays are just sex-obsessed sinners, and all they think about is sex and different partners. Therefore, I am not a bigot just because I feel that they are inferior (like criminals) and need to be contained and forced to change.” or “they are immature, therefore it is o.k. to treat them like children who do not understand enough to make rational decisions for themself. It is not bigotry, it is concern for their welfare and eternal souls.”

That’s a very good comparison! I’m going to remember that, as it’s concise and demonstrably true.
December 19th, 2008 at 12:24 pmJust for fun, could we have Tim Curry interview Rick Warren?
December 19th, 2008 at 12:30 pmVery funny, Nevar. Very funny, indeed!
December 19th, 2008 at 12:37 pmOT:
December 19th, 2008 at 12:41 pmNevar, I just got to sit and watch my first winter flock of siskins along side the road for awhile. If the weather holds a little longer I may go after the redpolls which must be about.
cheers-
TokenLiberal: “Rick Warren’s invitation to speak at the inauguration is the first, clearly identifiable “Screw You” to his supporters on the ‘left.’”
It’s hard for me to believe that most liberals in our country will be as immature as this in their assessment of what this means. “Screw you to the left??!!” Please. Get back to me when the Obama administration refuses to close Gitmo or nominates a conservative to the Supreme Court. Then, I’ll listen. Complaining that he’s picked a righty religious nut to go along with his lefty religious nut at the ceremony which is supposed to be for all Americans??
I don’t think this rises to the level of the hysteria I’m seeing.
December 19th, 2008 at 12:42 pm49erDem
Amen. (pun intended)
Further, if one of Obama’s first acts is to order the military to openly accept and accomodate gays, and Warren raises no objection which will be hard for him to raise, then this will fade away as an issue.
December 19th, 2008 at 12:44 pmThanks PLC. And thanks for your humor, wisdom and patience as we wade through all of the politico/religio stuff…
Greetings dbadass, winter birding is a lot of fun… I was in the right spot at the Bosque del Apache to be in the middle of 20,000 plus snow geese as they suddenly got quiet, then all burst into the air at once. It felt for an instant all I had to do was leap into the air and I could have gone with them. :)
December 19th, 2008 at 1:05 pmI have had a similar experience at the Forsythe refuge in Jersey but with far fewer geese. With that number it must have been hard to pick out the Ross’s…
December 19th, 2008 at 1:12 pmThe coots show up really well…
December 19th, 2008 at 1:14 pmRemember when Ann Coulter tried saying Bill Clinton was gay because he was promiscuous.
Watch the verbal gymnastics these folks go through to maintain their hate. They go so far to convince us it is not hate, but what else could it be? Oh right, hate the sin not the person. but being homosexual like being hetreosexual is part of our humanity…no they keep distorting the facts about life to appease their selfish god, their shallow god, their petty god. and lets not forget warren sits atop a fortune made from keeping his fellow man in ignorance about truth.
I so want to believe that obama has an idea what he is doing. that there is a reason for selecting warren we cannot yet see. that somehow warren will be as interested in unity as obama claims. The United States was not created so the christians could create their private little utopia. oh obama, why? do you really think these right wingers are going to actually play fair with you just because you are trying to be fair? they are intolerant and will continue to be until they have their world, which is intolerant of anyone not following rick warren, i mean jesus.
December 19th, 2008 at 1:26 pm[Warren] compared accepting one’s homosexuality to being “naturally inclined to have sex with every beautiful woman I see.”
…
You say because I have natural impulses to the same sex, I shouldn’t have to reign them in.
Sounds like he’s saying he’s bisexual and heavily in denial.
December 19th, 2008 at 1:47 pmIt doesn’t look like Mr. Warren delays any gratification when he pulls up to the dinner table. Like with the hypocrite Bill Bennett, only other people’s appetites and orientations are eligible for his judgement.
December 19th, 2008 at 2:07 pmI so wish I was gay if for no other reason so as to be able to say “I know I am but what are you” to this immaturity comment
December 19th, 2008 at 3:21 pmJust a coinkydink that his “ministry” is located in one of the wealthiest countys in the country? That Saddleback Church rakes in over $2million per week!
December 19th, 2008 at 4:13 pm.
Dear Mr Warran,
When did you choose to not be gay?
.
December 19th, 2008 at 4:53 pm.
Dear Mr Warren,
How do you pray for forgivness for all your judgment?
.
December 19th, 2008 at 4:56 pm…but middle-aged guys with nascar beards are like, totally mature and stuff.
December 19th, 2008 at 5:13 pmBelieving in ‘the Rapture’ is a sign of maturity???
December 19th, 2008 at 9:06 pmThe Second Coming?
The “Holy Ghost?”
Furiously defending the mythology of a band of bronze-age shepards?
FUggedaboutid…Xian shitwhistles got nothing to say about ‘maturity.’
I’ve changed my pro-Obama stance on this. (I thought something advantageous might come from it. But if he cut Wright loose he can certainly cut Warren loose.
The corporate media –for its own nefarious purposes–tries promoting him as some sort of right-of-center evangelist with a difference. But let’s face it –absent a mea culpa and a voluntary withdrawal from the benediction on Warren’s part–it’s pretty clear he’s just another bigotry and fairy-tales salesman.
The President Elect should be emailed and petitioned up the yingyang. (Then rightwing radio can have a field-day squeaking about how powerful the far Left is in this country. If that were only the case…
Warren is essentially a friggin’ fathead and Obama–I’m sorry to say–is an idiot for inviting him. It is a mistake. Obama needs to switch gears and admit that.
How can you have a united country with a-holes with the likes of Rick Warren in it? Why be tolerant to the intolerant unless you’re a copraphagic masochist.

The scripture to which you allude is I Corithians 6 starting at verse 9
Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adul terers, male prostitutes, sodo mites, 10 thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers–none of these will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And this is what some of you used to be. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
This list of sins seems to encompass most sexual si ns, at least the ones
about bit has heard, without regard to orientation.
If this scripture is only “used again homosexuality,” would it not need to have a much more limited scope?
Where bit has seen this quote used relative to the topic of homosexuality, it has been used to show that people who became Christians gave up their sexual, and other, sins.
Is that using it against homosexuality? BTW, these words are attributed to the Apostle Paul.
Seems to bit that those who commit these sins after becoming Christians would bring much dishonor on the name of Christ.
Do you agree?
December 20th, 2008 at 6:11 pmWarren is a homophope to 9th degree……….you sir are talking about CIVIL LIBERTIES, this has nothing to do with religion because not everyone who believes in god is a HOMOPHOBE!
HATER!!!!!!!!!It`s people like Warren that are ruining country, I say let him SPEW and pull the plug if he GOES REICH WING on us and then let Obama do what we elected him to do.
December 21st, 2008 at 12:06 pmRick Warren say that the Gay community is only 2% of the overall US population. In reality, Gay people account for 10% of the population….
This ultimately works out to mean the following:
July 2007 estimated US population = greater than 300 million people
Rick Warren’s 2% figure against this total would = 6 million total Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender people in the USA.
In reality the figure is greater than that, equal to 10% of the US population which equals 30 million total Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender people in the USA.
Rick Warren is willing to discount and forget about the difference, equalling 24 million people.
24 million people would have to disappear to allow Warren’s math to be correct.
What does Obama have to say about it?
“….It’s time to work together….”
I know of another time and another country that wanted to erase certain groups from their overall population….
That country was Germany and the story we know too well….
The first group of people on their list to eradicate wasn’t the Jews….
Anyone want to guess which group the Nazi’s “forgot about” first?
December 21st, 2008 at 2:59 pmUm….I wonder how many of those BEAUTIFUL WOMEN he wants to have sex with would reciprocate? He’s no Bill Clinton. Warren, like so many big fat biggoted GOPers, no doubt has no pay for sex.
December 23rd, 2008 at 2:54 amHere is the difference:
Warren has the inclination to have sex with every beautiful woman he sees (God forbid!), on account of his biological predispositions. What straight male doesn’t (and a certain percentage certainly does!). But, Rick still has the right and the acceptability to marry ONE and call her a life long partner.
If a gay person, who has a biological predisposition toward the same sex (and yes, naturally attracted to many a beautiful same sex form), wishes to be with ONE loved partner in a mutual relationship, why is that wrong? How is that fundamentally different? How is that harmful to themselves or others? Should they remain celibate?
Silly Rick Warren:
Homosexuality is a part of the normal, healthy spectrum of sexual orientations. Regardless of what your religious texts tell you. Please don’t compare it to disruptive human behaviour such as violence and sex addiction. Homosexuality isn’t a behaviour.
