Warren has the inclination to have sex with every beautiful woman he sees (God forbid!), on account of his biological predispositions. What straight male doesn’t (and a certain percentage certainly does!). But, Rick still has the right and the acceptability to marry ONE and call her a life long partner.

If a gay person, who has a biological predisposition toward the same sex (and yes, naturally attracted to many a beautiful same sex form), wishes to be with ONE loved partner in a mutual relationship, why is that wrong? How is that fundamentally different? How is that harmful to themselves or others? Should they remain celibate?

July 2007 estimated US population = greater than 300 million people

Rick Warren’s 2% figure against this total would = 6 million total Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender people in the USA.

In reality the figure is greater than that, equal to 10% of the US population which equals 30 million total Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender people in the USA.

Rick Warren is willing to discount and forget about the difference, equalling 24 million people.

24 million people would have to disappear to allow Warren’s math to be correct.

This list of sins seems to encompass most sexual si ns, at least the ones

If this scripture is only “used again homosexuality,” would it not need to have a much more limited scope?

Where bit has seen this quote used relative to the topic of homosexuality, it has been used to show that people who became Christians gave up their sexual, and other, sins.

Is that using it against homosexuality? BTW, these words are attributed to the Apostle Paul.

Seems to bit that those who commit these sins after becoming Christians would bring much dishonor on the name of Christ.

Further, if one of Obama’s first acts is to order the military to openly accept and accomodate gays, and Warren raises no objection which will be hard for him to raise, then this will fade away as an issue.

It’s hard for me to believe that most liberals in our country will be as immature as this in their assessment of what this means. “Screw you to the left??!!” Please. Get back to me when the Obama administration refuses to close Gitmo or nominates a conservative to the Supreme Court. Then, I’ll listen. Complaining that he’s picked a righty religious nut to go along with his lefty religious nut at the ceremony which is supposed to be for all Americans??
