Cheney on rap music: ‘I have trouble even following it.’
In his interview with the Washington Times last week, Dick Cheney said that he regularly hosted a barbecue at the Vice President’s residence for “the wounded from Bethesda or Walter Reed, and their families” that would often feature a performance by country and western stars. Asked if he ever invited any rap artists, Cheney said, no because “I have trouble even following it“:
THE VICE PRESIDENT: We had Charlie Daniels not too long ago. Sara Evans has been in, people like that.
Q: No rap. (Laughter.)
THE VICE PRESIDENT: No rap, no. The country and western is sort of a compromise between old folks — you know, the big band sound of the ’50s and the rappers that the younger generation understands. I have trouble even following it. (Laughter.)

O.k. I’ll bite. I’m bored. You see, these days there is a derth of trolls in general (I remember 4 or 5 years back or so, when several trolls were present and persistently so on every thread). Concern trolls are a new kind of troll, and, yes, the words that use to comment are what identify them as the creatures that they are. Occasionally there may be a misdiagnosis, but that harms no one any more than any other words here. Fact is, most posters here are eager to see trolls appear, for the discourse between differing opinion (instead of JUST preaching to the chior).
With the average trolling these days (many threads can pass every day with narry a troll in sight), 10% posts being troll or concern troll makes for a clear “day of”. If you read this regularly as you state then you would recognize these things. (though I do not claim that you do not visit regularly, nor do I presume to ascribe to you any label).
Considering how many KNOWN deaths, coupled with torture, circumvention of the Constitution and the law in general, and the rest of the list of known of strongly suspected illegal and immoral actions attributable to Cheney — yes, jokes about his fat sizzling on a barbeque are quite appropos. Even the majority of neocons will comment about how evil Cheney is. Only the hardcore of the 23%ers even try to claim that he is a good and honest man worthy of respect and praise and emmulation.

I am also unclear as to The Evil One’s comment, because it is not clear whether he meant that he does not understand rap music, or whether he was saying that he doen not even understand country and western (his note of 50’s big band I suspect is where his musical tastes lie, when he listens to music … other than the screams of burning children (he uses that to fall asleep at night)).
I am certain that he gets something out of these BBQ’s, though. At the LEAST he gets a tax write off, but, with the way he operates, he gets something else from it. Who knows, and unless it will land his fat @ss in jail, who really cares all that much?
