The problem with this poll is that it is technically incorrect from the start. How can Cheney be the worst VP ever when he was not the VP in the first place. Cheney was picked by the ultra right wing oil industry in this country to be the president and so as Doc Rock correctly indicated above, Cheney is the worst president ever.

So now we’re actually measuring a treasonous war criminal against other people who have held the same office in terms of has he been ‘one of the worst’.
Is this on a scale of one to ten or is it some sort of a bizarre multiple choice ?
I can’t help but think that if it was any other country, a few million people would have taken to the streets calling for his fat head on a stick.

American History will show VP’s before the Bush Mafia and after. Cheney never finished college he got his education from the Nixon Administration. One only needs to read the Constitution to understand it. Cheney knew most Americans and Law Makers never read the US Constitution so it was easy to tell them anything. When those who did know spoke up the Media cut them down. Using God’s Name was how all this worked and it went very well. Now even Bush says he doesn’t believe God inspired the Bible it was man. But for 8 years he had the public going as he lied over and over again. The mission has been completed as the US Taxpayers have been robbed of about 11 Trillion dollars. Now the GOP will regroup and let Obama/Biden bring back a US surplus in about 8 years then let another Democrat add to that. Yes the GOP will be ready to come back and openly steal in about 12 years. Let’s hope US education improves and Americans don’t fall for the same mistake again. Cheney’s problem is the American people but the Foreign Countries. He might experience waterboarding and rap music when he’s in their hands.

Considering that most folks don’t have any idea what the VP does (see Palin, Sarah) and even those that do usually don’t have any idea on how they are doing on a day to day basis – this screams for attention.

Most VPs, no matter how bad, stay in anonymity. To get these poll numbers, Cheney must have worked hard to do negative things.

The 1% who think he is the best VP are all his cronies who have benefited from the corrupt policies of the Bush reign. Its the Halliburtons, KBR’s, oil companies, HMO’s, drug companies and finally the rich CEO’s who are eating caviar and drinking champagne with the 700B bailout that is being paid by the taxpayers.

#19 – good one.

“Worst” is a weird term to use. Cheney is evil to the core, but not ineffectual. Spiro Agnew completely had to resign in disgrace. Dan Quayle was famous for being a “special needs” veep. Then there are all those 19th-Century veeps who got put in place for weird reasons like being the losers of general elections, and who were basically “exiled to Alba” for their entire terms.

There are so many different flavors of “worst” that it’s hard to compare between them.

WTF is wrong with 77% of Americans!? Well, actually 46% put him in negative terriroty.
I accept that most Americans are not news junkies (as I am sometimes guilty of, preferring internet reading to mindless TV sitcoms at night) but do these people live in America? Did any of them watch that asshat on MTP yesterday? Did any of them read or hear of the things he has said and done and asserted over the years?
They may be deserving of the kind of America that Bush/Cheney have brought us, but I am not, and neither are you!
