Uh… being “included” when a law says ANYBODY can inherit these funds is hardly something to jump up and down about.

This is just a case of the Human Rights Campaign either 1) poking the Bush administration in a PR piece or 2) trying to give us the impression that they have accomplished something here.

Maybe he thought it said “deny rights” so he signed it, otherwise I think another shoe is going to drop. Something like…Why do you want to get married? You have all the rights to shared benefits as a married couple.

Sharing unmarried partners benefits are one thing (medical, insurance etc.) Unmarried partners receiving their deceased partner’s retirement benefit is another. Don’t you agree?

I wonder if this applies to Soc Sec too?

I’ve always been in favor of benefits for unmarried different-sex partners, too.

Not me. Straights can get married unlike gays who are either yo-yo to death or denied marriage.

I think Microsoft made this point.

If a man and a woman want to share benefits then get married.
