Alaska State Trooper union: Johnston drug arrest delayed for political reasons.
The Anchorage Daily News reports that the December 18 arrest of the mother of Levi Johnston for the sale of prescription drugs was delayed because of Johnston’s relationship with Bristol Palin during Gov. Sarah Palin’s vice presidential candidacy:
Kyle Young, a troopers drug investigator who was involved in the case, wrote in an e-mail last week to all members of the Public Safety Employees Association, the union that represents troopers and other law enforcement officers around the state…that after it became clear who Johnston was, “this case became anything but normal.”
“It was not allowed to progress in a normal fashion, the search warrant service WAS delayed because of the pending election and the Mat Su Drug Unit and the case officer were not the ones calling the shots,” Young wrote. … John Cyr, executive director of the union, said it’s clear to him that the investigation was handled differently because of who Johnston is.
While the Palin administration is disputing the union’s claims, the union tells the Daily News that it verified Young’s characterization “with the entire drug unit, with all of our members.”

This crap wouldn’t make a bit of difference to Republicans who love Palin. As long as someone spouts the platitudes and aphorisms that make their loins tingle (”family values”, patriotism, Christianism, “fu(k the poor”) then they don’t care what kind of character they exhibit or who they hang with.
But if they try to promote the interests of the less fortunate among us, anyone with a parking ticket who went to the same high school suddenly becomes their best friend and a “dangerous indicator of character”.
Palin’s “family values” in action have been a clusterfu(k from the get-go. Yet somehow the wingnuts convinced themselves that raising a daughter to get pregnant out of wedlock in high school was actually a positive because she didn’t have an abortion. Her vendetta against her sister’s ex-husband they tried to dismiss as a politically-motivated witch-hunt. Now a woman with whom Sarah Palin will share a grandchild has been busted on felony drug charges, but the case was delayed for political reasons.
Gee, Sen. McCain, just think — if maybe you’d chosen a running mate with a little more care, you wouldn’t havehad to spend campaign resources gumming up investigations in Alaska or delaying drug warrants for meth dealers.

Look if those Religious Republicans leard that Levi’s Mom was a drug pusher and Bristol was having her second child it would have been over before it begain. Now without Uncle Ted support Sarah has to go it alone. Sarah has no choice but to protect Levi’s Mom. Look if she told the truth about the lies Sarah has been reporting the wing nuts would be crashed. Levi says he’s enrolled in a trade school and Sarah says that’s not right he taking high school classes online along with Bristol. Now as the US doesn’t allow high school to be online but night classes are availbale one would think our US high schools would be empty as kids would go online from freshman to senior year for a GED. Hang around with smart kids and let them do your term and test papers to get over. It’s hard enough cheating in class now Sarah has developed a new way for kids to skip school. How much more cover up will Sarah do before they kick her out of office.

A kid on dope isn’t going to do well on tests or projects, and probably won’t get into a decent college. As for Levi? I wouldn’t want a doped-out drop-out wiring my house or business!!! Given the lack of inspectors and permits in Alaska (See the Palin house built by “friends”), it is doubtful that he’ll even get supervision and training.

Yep, and when the guy running the program was asked if the apprentices were required to have a GED or High School Diploma he said “I don’t know”. Then he was asked if, since they have a waiting list for the program, how Levi got right in. His answer was “I don’t know”. Familiar refrain.
