Just because we’ve won, doesn’t mean we’ve won enough yet to ensure that America is safe from such monsters. These people need to be called on their crap, every time. Bush’s policies didn’t change from when they were enthusiastically supporting him (he’s not all that big on change), all that happened was that the inevitable consequences of those policies came to fruition.

Good observation, ralph. The Republicans are still a long way from learning that a government run by conservative policies does not benefit its citizens as a whole, only the wealthiest among them. Keep in mind, also, that these are people who equate social worth with financial worth. If you are rich, you must be doing something “good”. They don’t think it’s possible to have more money than you could ever spend in your lifetime, and this is why they fight so hard for those few dozen families in this country that have more wealth than many third world nations.
