In roleplaying situations, authoritarians tend to seek dominance over others by being competitive and destructive instead of cooperative.

SCHIEFFER: Do you believe that the president in time of war, that anything he does is legal?

CHENEY: I cant say that anything he does is legal. I think we do and we have historic precedent of taking action that you wouldn’t take in peacetime but that you will take sometimes in war time in order to do the basic job that you sign up to when you take the oath of office which is to support and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. If you hark back in our history you can look at Abraham Lincoln who suspended the writ of habeas corpus in the middle of the Civil War.

CHENEY: Well, no. It certainly was in the sense he wasn’t impeached.

#1) Just because our Congress has been more of a CONgress than anything and has begun instituting policies and practices that undermine basic American Principles (i.e. the Fourth Amendment) and have acted in collusion with the Administration in that attempt and their(!) subsequent lack of accountability for these misdeeds perpetrated by members of this Administration does NOT(!) necessarily mean that everything that has happened over these last 8 years was absolutely legal.

#2) The events of 9/11 happened AFTER both the D!ck-N-BUSH were ’selected’ to screw this Nation up real good.

#3) Lincoln’s suspension of Habeas Corpus happened during a civil unrest commonly known as the American Civil War. For the D!ck to make such equations means that America is also engaged in a civil war of our own… YES?

Well, technically the Veep “presides over” the Senate, which just means he sits in the high chair while the grownups work. I’m sure that some Republican assumed that meant he “was the President” of the Senate, because they don’t seem to know a damn thing about law, governance or the Constitution.
