Foghorn Leghorn is the Grandpappy of obstructionism and senatorial divisiveness. If I were a Senator and was approached by this used car salesman I would take every gift, every penny that came my way from him. Then I would vote against his interests (not just on principle, I’m sure any corp. that needs Trent to represent them are on the wrong side of the issue anyway). Afterwards, when Trent stops by to ask what happened and that he thought we had a deal I would gleefully tell him to go Cheney himself raw!

I’m from Mississippi and I know that Lott is a power-hungry southern (elitist) that is just “in it” to make sure he and his fellow cretins are kept rich and fat. Our govenor, Republican, Haley Barbour(past big tobacco lobbiest) is of the same ilk. He told reporters one time that he wouldn’t speak to anyone making under $80,000.00 per year. In Mississippi, that leaves just about all of us out. However, the rednecks in Mississippi, ardant George Bush fans, elected both of these guys into office. I am embarrassed by the people of my state being so ignorant and easily deluded.

Same old Lott. I guess when he said counting the minutes, he forgot he said last year that lobbying had nothing to do with his decision.

Now he will do what all the lobbyists do. He will slither around the house and senate. He will salivate, hiss and roll out his forked tongue. And make money. He has a cash cow now. Lobbying.

Dumb Question: Knowing Lott’s background, how many people would be willing to instantly assume that anyone seen with him how is engaging in corrupt activities ?

a picture of Lott at a restaurant with a Senator – should be an instant investigation.

A picture of Lott walking into the WH – grounds for investigation.

In any case, I hope Lott cooks up a bunch more illegal deals to take R’s down in flames of scandal. I like to think of lobbyists as an evolutionary pressure on others, like leeches or tapeworms.
