Obama had a great quote a week or two back about how “no soldier’s service is ever wasted.” In order to be able to fight just wars, soldiers have to be willing to assume the risk of being sent to unjust ones. All blame for that lies with the Commander-In-Chief and his circle of advisors.

The alternative would be to live in one of those countries in which the military has a political opinion that in turn affects the politics of those countries. As often as not, political decisions have to be made to try to avoid being couped. In the U.S.A, civilian control of the military, and the discipline of the military to do as the civilian leadership tells them, prevents the country from becoming a military dictatorship. I’m sure you’d agree that military dictatorships are a bad thing.

OK, this entire thread completely disproves the myth that the Left is too infatuated with Obama to criticize him. Freepers can cross that one off their list of faith-based bullsh!t right now.
