Larry King: ‘Black is in.’
Last night on CNN, Larry King was talking to radio host Tavis Smiley and journalist Bob Woodward about President Obama and issues of race. “Black is in,” concluded King. From their exchange:
KING: Bob, my — in that regard, my younger son Cannon, he is eight. And he now says that he would like to be black. I’m not kidding. He said there’s a lot of advantages. Black is in. Is this a turning of the tide?
WOODWARD: Well, maybe.

When I was 10, I told our neighbor lady, Mrs Townsend, that I wanted her to adopt me. She got a big laugh out of that, saying I’d certainly stand out at the dinner table, and then I got the biggest hug. Great woman.

The fact that King could be so clueless and that he doesn’t even bother to know anything about his guests is indicative of the quality of CNN. Well that and Lou Dobbs of course.
