Your screed seems to complain that since there’s no such thing as gender discrimination in the workplace, there’s no need to allow people to sue for gender discrimination in the workplace. Anybody who complains that “trial lawyers” are behind everything are really only trying to justify disenfranchising citizens from access to the court system. Unless you didn’t find out you were being paid unfairly for more than six months after it started. As it stood, the SCOTUS said that you couldn’t have the disparity rectified back to when you started being discriminated against. This fixes that.

I realize that we have a bit of nostalgic mythology surrounding Rosa Parks as a sweet old lady who was too tired to give up her seat, but I believe this does a it of disservice to the actual person. Rosa Parks was not just some random woman who happened to become a central figure in the Civil Rights movement, she was an activist and NAACP member long before her arrest, and had begun her campaign of civil disobedience against the Montgomery bus system almost a decade before.

And she was neither old nor tired on that day in 1955. In her own words:

People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired than I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although some people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two. No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.
