He probably thought Twitter was more like the former and didn't realize that anybody anywhere in the world could read his tweets. Besides, he's a Congressman, not a soldier. I don't think there's a law saying they can't mention the trip, it's just a really really really bad idea. But I know I sure as hell wouldn't travel with him to a warm zone after this. Basically, he's a stupid Republican who doesn't understand the implications of technology or of his own actions, and who endangered the lives of himself, other Congressmen traveling with him, and their security detail.
