Ann Coulter under investigation for voter fraud.

Connecticut’s Elections Enforcement Commission is undertaking a “thorough investigation” of right-wing pundit Ann Coulter for potentially breaking the law by voting in Connecticut while living in New York City, according to a commission spokesperson. Officials are responding to a formal complaint filed by Coulterwatch.com blogger Dan Borchers. “For over 10 years, Ann Coulter has gotten away with illegal, immoral and unethical behavior, ranging from plagiarism to defamation, perjury to voter fraud,” Borchers wrote.

Coulter is a lying, bigoted, hate-mongering creep. Hopefully she’ll be put away for a long time.

  2. Canny55 says:

Is anyone honestly shocked by this? Honestly?

  3. blue state bob says:

Typical It’s Not Wrong If You’re A Republican.

But hasn’t this “woman’s” 15 minutes expired ages ago

  4. Canny55 says:

I didn’t realize Ann was nominated for a cabinet position. This is all you have? Obama can’t find any dems who actually pay taxes to serve in his cabinet, and this is the best you can do is go after Coulter. We survived 4 years of Jimmy Carter, I hope we can survive 4 years of the clown B Hussein.

Look at all of the right-wing websites that chase after any human being associated with the left-wing, regardless of whether or not they serve in the incumbent administration. Don’t be such a hypocrite, my friend. When something controversial happens to a member of the side you oppose, of course it will be reported and ridiculed.

  5. Canny55 says:

I hope we can survive 4 years of the clown B Hussein.

Do you have some sort of obsession with Obama’s middle name, or do you want to disrespect those with an Arabic-sounding surname/middlename, etc? Hussein actually means “handsome” in Arabic, so I suppose you like President Obama’s appearance?

Oh, and careful P of his pp. You’re talking about the President of the United States, soldier.

  10. Cats r Flyfishn says:

As for Coulter, she promotes herself as an entertainer and that all the hate that she spills is suppose to be “jokes”. Well the joke is on her because she is not funny. As a matter of fact, she may be a terrorist. After all, she threatened a Supreme Court justice.

  11. woodguy says:

The first step is for the judge to send her a sternly worded letter. No one hopes more than I that she is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

  12. Cats r Flyfishn says:

Back in 2004, there was a movie where the dead solders that returned from the Iraq war returned to life just so that they could vote and they didn’t vote to re-elect Bush. There was a character in the movie that had to be Ann Coulter and these zombie solders killed her on the way to the polls. It was gruesome but it showed that even dead people find Coulter disgusting.

    http://www.hubdub.com/m31836/What_will_the_outcome_be_of_Ann_Coulters_voter_fraud_investigation

“The overwhelming evidence is that fraudulent voter registrations do not lead to fraudulent voting,” said Wendy Weiser, a deputy director specializing in voting rights at New York University’s Brennan Center for Justice. “It’s a big resource drain on election officials, but it doesn’t affect the outcome.”

In Coulter’s case, this current investigation is the result of ONE person filing a formal complaint. Heh… Ann must have made an enemy.

Saaaaaay… wasn’t that the reason Iglesias was fired down in N Mexico? The GOOP was pressuring him to proseculte some folks for NON-EXISTENT voter fraud, and when he refused to do so, Alberto and Goodling fired him?

I suggest you smack wingers upside the head when they bash Jimmy, or any other Democrat. The days are past when we let degenerate traitors badmouth our people.

As always, the smears are dead wrong. An earlier commenter has noted that the the stock market went up 6.9% under Jimmy Carter. Also, job growth per year under Carter was the second highest of all recent Presidents:

    Johnson 3.8%
    Carter 3.1
    Clinton 2.4
    Kennedy 2.3
    Nixon 2.3
    Reagan 2.1
    Bush 0.6

There you go. Apparently, ourt worst guy is several times better than their best guy.

Historians rate Jimmy Carter around 24th or 25th among Presidents–not terribly good, but nowhere near as bad as the Winged Ones would have us think. I think Jimmy’s Nobel Prize and continued popularity have freaked them out. ;)

Interesting that almost immediately following the election of a Democrat President there are those who desire to limit First Amendment rights, especially the rights of Rush and Coulter. Is there something about the election of BHO that signalled a start to this denial of rigths?

Wasn’t that a Communists tactic – to undermine and silence all critics? And weren’t the Liberals going to take-out BigAnn by eroding her sponsor base?

Likely any legal move against Coulter will backfire. It’ll just give her grist for her mill, fodder for her cannon, acid for her pen.

Aside: Her article last week noted an interesting study on single mothers. The article references a study that said single mothers costs the US $112B a year. bit suspects that this isn’t a number that the Democrats would quote, since the Democrats rely on single mothers to produce Democrat voters.

Good Morning to ya Nevar,…..Noticed there is only 108 post’s for the coltergeist discussion…Her/his popularety has gone like the bad wind she/he is…Use to be we would get a feeding frenzie from troll’s that added up above 400….LOL..Guess she/he isn’t so popular any more….Have a wonderful day posting…Blessings

  107. Wayne A. Schneider says:

bit quotes First Amendment. bit then Says:

bit’s impression is that many TP posters don’t think the above applies to BigAnn.

bit’s impression would be wrong. bit thinks TP posters too stupid to know that as a private citizen, Ann Coulter has the same First Amendment rights as anyone else. But bit also emphasized the free press, so bit must be stupid enough to think that Ann Coulter is a journalist.

bit then also repeat another delusional remark:

Interesting that almost immediately following the election of a Democrat President there are those who desire to limit First Amendment rights, especially the rights of Rush and Coulter. Is there something about the election of BHO that signalled a start to this denial of rigths?

bit may think he’s been paying attention, but he has only been hearing the right-wing diaper-crapping pundits who claim that the Fairness Doctrine is coming back and it will mean the end of Rush and Hannity. bit would be an idiot to believe these people. bit not clever enough to understand that a Fairness Doctrine would only mean an end to their unchallenged formats, not an end to them. Unless, of course, bit is frightened that Rush and Hannity could not do a radio program in which dissenting voices had to be heard.

Your third person act is getting tiresome, bit, and your opinions are wholly lacking in reality.

So much for the sanctity of marriage in America. Sanctity of marriage in America is a joke. Divorced republicans standing holding a bible, talking about the sanctity of marriage…..priceless but hypocritical to the max……

run your own life bltflotsom, if you could just do that then you would be contributing instead of lying and cheating.

Coulter would look better in a kilt than that silly black cocktail dress. And it would fit better with that macho bulge … in her neck! Yeesh.

  112. ralph the wonder llama says:

ralph thinks bitblt is jonesing for a gay-related thread on which he can deposit his standard biblical distortions and rationalizations.

ralph understands bit’s frustration, as sometimes it can be a long wait for that perfect thread to come along, and besides, since Daryll has been MIA lately, and bit has always been hesitant to post on a thread in which Daryll had not bestowed his Christianist Seal of Approval®, bit has been locked out of action for a while.

Still, ralph finds it disappointing that a stylish troll like bit has chosen to sully his reputation with a bizarrely un-bit-like misreading of either the First Amendment or TPer comments (or both) to somehow cast voter fraud as a free speech issue.

    ralph is very disappointed.

ralph is impressed, however, by the effortless dismantling of bit’s attempt by Wayne S.

  113. deebaser says:

I really doubt this is a case of ‘voter fraud’ so much as it is ‘tax fraud’. For some reason I can see Coulter being more concerned with paying NYC taxes than voting for a CT congressman.

  115. ralph the wonder llama says:

ralph is also disappointed to see bit adopt the juvenile use of the noun “Democrat” as an adjective.

I believe CT residents pay lower state taxes than us NY residents. Hell, we pay taxes on everything (except for those few weeks out of the year when they allow clothes to be bought tax-free.)

No, I think she did it because she has zero respect for the law (despite being trained as a lawyer herself.) Did you know that she was one of Paula Jones’s lawyers in her lawsuit against Clinton?

    Wayne,

As an added bonus, NYC has an additional 7% income tax rate (on top of NY State income tax). Me thinks Coulter is a tax cheater.

Can’t get one on you, dbadass. bit did note the information as an aside and as something Democrats would likely overlook. Had you read about this somewhere else?

    · dbadass Says:

dbadass also wonders what the cost of single fathers might be
    February 9th, 2009 at 9:27 am

This one should be obvious to even you dbadass. The cost of a single father is a single mother. Cost here would include the emotional vacuum in the lives of the mother and child, or children, as well as the societal cost inherit with a citizen who will likely be more of a taker than a giver; i.e., consumer vs producer.

    Dr. Hussein Matt Says:

bitblt doesn’t seem to “think” the law applies to mAnn Coulter. How telling.

What seems telling to bit, DrM, is that bit has not felt the need to call BigAnn convicted.

  122. ElBruce says:

    Willywoo Says:

I notice a lot of anger and name calling on this site. Why is that I wonder?

Because people like Ann Coulter have been working hard to pit every American against every other, and to tear down everything that America stands for. They have been far more successful in doing so than they have any right to be. That makes us angry.

Why would you wonder? Shouldn’t that be obvious? It also makes us angry that certain people either don’t see what these people are trying to do to America, or are just fine with it and pretend they don’t understand what’s going on.

    .

    bitblt Says:

Interesting that almost immediately following the election of a Democrat President there are those who desire to limit First Amendment rights, especially the rights of Rush and Coulter. Is there something about the election of BHO that signalled a start to this denial of rigths?

We’re talking about an actual law actually being broken. If you’re going to wave the 1st Amendment around as a defense like this, then you’re basically saying she could murder people and any attempt to stop her would constitute violating her civil rights. Just because you’re a pundit doesn’t mean you’re above real laws.

It’s very likely that she’s been doing this on purpose for some time now. I seem to recall there was something about her getting turned away from a couple of extra voting districts in 2006. Very likely she’s been intentionally breaking voting laws in the hopes of getting caught so she can cry and moan about mistreatment, while at the same time gaining a platform a for new round of tinfoil-hat fantasies about imaginary Democratic voter fraud.

    .

    Lora Says:

And it would fit better with that macho bulge … in her neck! Yeesh.

That small flap of skin there is actually to make room for the fact that Ann Coulter can unhinge her jaw to swallow prey whole.

  124. Nevar says:

bitblt Says: “…the societal cost inherit with a citizen who will likely be more of a taker than a giver; i.e., consumer vs producer.”

This has become the whole basis of our capitalistic system. Consumerism, and having people in underdeveloped nations produce all of our goods for a dollar a day.
Do you support this, or a more socialistic structure?

  125. dbadass says:

So let’s see. If the cost of a single dad is equal to the cost of a single mom, then I suppose the total cost is 2x the cost of a single parent regardless of gender

  126. ralph the wonder llama says:

ralph notes that, while bit has seen fit to respond to some of the comments related to his post, bit has neglected to explain how voter fraud is a First Amendment issue, let alone how TPers criticism of Ann Coulter’s public statements relates to government-sanctioned censorship.

ralph’s suspicion that bit has subcontracted out his responsibilities grows stronger.

Thought it was rather obvious. bit wasn’t responding to the initial TP post. He was responding to the attitudes displayed in the subsequent TPers posts. If fact the original TP post says this: “Connecticut’s Elections Enforcement Commission is undertaking a “thorough investigation” of right-wing pundit Ann Coulter for potentially breaking the law…” This would lead bit to believe the BigAnn has been neither charged nor convicted, which in our system of justice, means she’s not guilty.

If you’re going to wave the 1st Amendment around as a defense like this,…

bit did not offer the First Amendment as a defense for what BigAnn did – “…potentially break law.” bit really doesn’t know how you made this link, unless of course, Liberals are carrying this pre-crime pre-cognition too far.

This is one really big non-sequitur.

So let me get this absolutely straight, bittie — you’re truly stating that when law enforcement officials suspect that a law has been broken and/or a crime has been committed (voter fraud *is* a felony, after all), law enforcement officials aren’t supposed to investigate the alleged violator (Ann Coulter) on the grounds that it violates the alleged perpetrator’s (Ann Coulter’s) first amendment rights…?

Leftside Annie thinks bitblt is batshit crazy.
