And how is it that my "journalistic integrity" is in question here, Cal? All journalists have their own personal political preferences, but the goal is to keep them from influencing your reporting. You do get that, I hope. And speaking of holding no water, your excuses for TP's misleading headline as only meant to be provocative and to draw readers doesn't hold up. The body of the story should always support its headline with hard facts, not assumptions. No if ands or buts. TP should've ended the headline with a question mark and should've called Sanford's office (which I might do Thursday) to ask if he was implying Rush was one of the "idiot" Republicans who want Obama to fail before printing this blog item and instead of writing in the body of the article that he clearly did. Think about this also: Don't you think the right-wing media machine would've been all over Sanford by now if his Rush dis was a certainty? [I did a google search and so far only liberal sites are covering this.] And no, Dems haven't let us down more than republicans, but let's hope Pat Leahy's Truth Commission gets some legitimate results - as in prosecutions of former Bush officials.
