Australia follows Obama, ends ban on aid to groups that provide abortions overseas.

Days after taking office, President Obama “struck down the Bush administration’s ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform abortions or provide abortion information.” Now the government of Australia is following Obama’s lead, scrapping a 13-year old policy that prevented non-government organizations from using official funds overseas to advise about abortions or provide services. After Obama lifted the ban, Australia was “the only country in the world to limit overseas aid funds” in such a way.

Maybe they are realizing that the earth is over populated?

More people = more consumption = less resources = less food = more starvation

Maybe the reason for alot of our economic woes are from over population, a population that is a consumer based economy cannot survive very long.

You end up with stuff that no one wants or needs at some point and then the whole thing caves in.

Schip, Guantanamo, signing statements, an end to the Iraq fiasco, stimulus package and now THIS? Man this failure should be impeached huh? (snark)

What’s the marxist/socialist/terrorist going to do next…catch Bin Laden? Poor, poor misguided Right Wing, chasing their tails, licking their balls and barking at the moon while awaiting Rushbos next set of marching orders. Meanwhile President Obama has done more good for this Country and the world in less than two months than Saint George did in eight years.

I’m sure there’s some Bible verse in Revelations that will help all the loonies tie this in to the end times.

God bless the fetus humpers…loving children till thier born, then not caring if they starve…makes perfect sense to me..lets make no pretenses…the only real point of supposed “pro-lifers” ideas is to maintain the societal status quo by keeping woman tied down as babymakers..I think you pretty much see a direct correlation between how much power women have over their own reproduction with how much power they have in society in general..

Excuse me, I forgot stem cell research, reversing Bush’s Provider Conscience Rule, reversing the casket ban, the Endangered Species Act, allowing states to set their own fuel efficiency standards, the Equal Pay For Equal Work bill and withdrawing oil and gas leases for drilling near national parks in Utah. Oh, and putting the kibosh on all the last minute ammendments that Bush tried to leave like a turd in the White House toilet on his way out the door. I’m sure I’m forgetting more but a pretty impressive list of achievements for that guy, the socialist/marxist/terrorist.

THAT would be a score from the three-point area!

President Obama is moving us in the right direction in so many ways. I don’t agree with everything he is suggesting, but I sure appreciate that he is trying to fix the mess left to him. I also don’t see him getting locked into a “stay the course” mode of governing.

Yep nice passage in Exodus that basically implies that killing a fetus should only be punished as much as the laws of man decide it should…

“If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.” Ex. 21:22-25

Not only that APA, but I am progressive enough to stress out about a lot of moderate policy President Obama does, especially in regards to corporate interests, banking, etc. But for all grievances, to finally look at a list of good done in just a few months time, I’m glad we’re moving forward again, and its just the pace that is debated.

I had no idea about Australia – I thought we were the only industrialized nation with troglodytes at the helm. Wow. Glad to know they also changed their policies.

This will be good until the next time another re-Thug gets into office and drags us back to the middle ages again.

Any anthropologist can tell you that abortions are a part of every culture in the world and for all their known history. The idea that they can control the role of “abortion” in societies, including our own, is proof of their irredeemable stupidity.
