Citigroup mobilizes against Employee Free Choice Act.

The Huffington Post’s Sam Stein reports that “embattled financial giant Citigroup Inc., which has received at least $50 billion in federal bailout funds, hosted a private conference call on Wednesday to build opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act.” On Tuesday, Citigroup downgraded its rating of Wal-Mart from buy to hold, citing fears that EFCA could pass. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said earlier this week that “fierce resistance from Republicans and business groups could force him to delay action” on the measure.

So this is why the Corpora-Crats stepped forward, to align with Repugnicants on EFCA. Both Senators from the Walmart state expressed concern.

I have that $50 billion back then, thank you.

Harry, you’re going to have to choose who you want to be pissed off: Those who disrespect/hate you and stand against everything you stand for, or those who put you in your current position and agree with the vast majority of your positions.

Should be a no brainer, but the gutless Democrats continue to amaze (and anger).

OMG, we can’t have ordinary workers making decent pay with decent benefits, now can we? This country needs to take care of the ordinary folks, the rich are doing very well on their own, thank you.

By the way, since the Citimob has decided to impose their bias on the American body politic, I am forced to conclude that they are independent enough to get by without taxpayer assistance in burying their world destroying screw ups.

You are not a citizen, Citimob, and we can happily do without you.

  18. winddancer says:

It’s time for Harry Reid to take a hike. He is a disaster as a leader. Of course Republicans and big business are against the bill. That’s a surprise? And so WHAT? Sadists are against anything that might stop them from hurting and torturing others. Do we then say, “Ok…they don’t like it, I guess we won’t make it against the law?”

I hope someone keeps a close eye on any media (Fox News and Talk radio in particular) who spouts lies about this. Many of them are most likely memebers of AFTRA, The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. A Union! Which also provides healthcare benefits. Hannity, I’m looking at you sir, because you revealed on your radio show that you are in fact a member.

this is depressing. how is this covered in MSM? not at all i assume.

This is why we need campaign finance reform so our politicians are not employed by these corrupt corporations, when they should be doing the obvious right thing.
